🚨‼️God did not use the prince Moses. He buried him. That is the part modern religion skips because it is too busy handing out microphones to men God has not yet humbled. Egypt made Moses impressive, educated, connected, polished, and mighty in words and deeds. But one dead Egyptian in the sand proved that ability without surrender is just flesh wearing a nice coat.

The desert was not God wasting Moses’ life. It was God removing Egypt from the man before sending the man back into Egypt. Forty years of sheep, silence, dust, delay, and obscurity did what Pharaoh’s palace never could. The desert killed the performer and raised the shepherd. God does not need a man intoxicated with his own importance. He needs a man empty enough to carry the word without stealing the glory.

That is why the burning bush was not the beginning of Moses’ preparation. It was graduation day. The bush burned after the man was broken. The rod became the rod of God after Moses’ grip had been surrendered. The mouth became usable after it stopped arguing long enough to carry “Thus saith the LORD.” God does not build leaders in spotlights first. He builds them where nobody claps.

Some of you are angry about your desert because you still think Egypt was your destiny. Maybe God is not punishing you. Maybe He is burying the prince. Maybe the silence is not abandonment. Maybe the delay is not denial. Maybe the sheep, the dust, the hidden years, and the failure are God’s way of making you safe enough to use. Egypt makes men impressive. The desert makes shepherds.

Meditating this afternoon on the truth of assurance of salvation.

What has typically been called the "perseverance of the saints" sits solidly on God’s sovereign commitment to complete what He has begun in believers’ lives. God pledges to bring to completion the good work He started in believers at the day of Jesus Christ (Phil 1:6), establishing a foundation that transcends my weakness and circumstance.

Christ promises that those who follow Him will never perish because no one can snatch them from His hand or the Father’s hand (John 10:27–29). This dual security, held by both Christ and the Father, reveals an unbreakable grip. Nothing in creation: whether death, life, spiritual forces, present circumstances, or future events, can separate Christians from God’s love in Christ (Rom 8:38–39). The robustness of this list removes the possible threat to salvation.

God’s faithfulness grounds this doctrine. All whom the Father gives to Christ will come to Him, and Christ will lose nothing of what has been entrusted to Him (John 6:37–40). God’s gifts and calling are irrevocable (Rom 11:29), they do not hinge on changing circumstances or human performance. The Lord is faithful and will establish and guard believers against the evil one (2 Thess 3:3).

The work of the Holy Spirit provides active protection. Thank goodness I as a Christian am sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, who serves as a guarantee of our inheritance (Eph 1:13–14). By God’s power, those found in Christ are guarded through faith for salvation ready to be revealed at the last time (1 Pet 1:3–5). Christ is able to save completely those who approach God through Him, since He continually intercedes for them (Heb 7:25).

This treasured Scriptural truth punctuates that those whom God foreknew and predestined are also called, justified, and glorified -- a chain of divine action that ensures completion (Rom 8:29–30). It's a progression moveing from eternity to final glorification, with no breaking point.

All who believe in Christ will have eternal life and be raised up on the last day (John 6:37–40), and believers may know with certainty that they possess eternal life (1 John 5:13). If you are a Christian rejoice in this reality, and if you are not a Christian let me tell you about the most amazing assurance you could ever experience!

I would be hard-pressed to find a more severe theological error than the claim that Jesus didn't die for everyone. In 2 Peter 2:1, scripture warns of false prophets who bring in damnable heresies, 'even denying the Lord that bought them.'

Think about the weight of that verse. If the Lord bought even those who deny Him and bring swift destruction upon themselves, then the concept of "Limited Atonement" completely crumbles. Limiting the scope of the cross utterly contradicts the word of God and attacks the very nature of the gospel.

To claim that Jesus only shed His blood for a select, pre-chosen few doesn't elevate God’s sovereignty—it diminishes His love and makes a mockery of the Great Commission. How can we honestly preach the good news to "every creature" if the provision wasn't actually made for every creature?

The Bible is crystal clear:

1 John 2:2 – "And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world."

1 Timothy 2:4 – God "will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth."

Hebrews 2:9 – Jesus tasted death for "every man."

Calvinism forces people to perform theological gymnastics just to get around the plain reading of scripture. You don't need a complex system of elective decrees to understand a love so vast that it paid for the sins of the entire world.

The provision is universal; the reception is conditional. Salvation is a free gift offered to whosoever will believe. Don't let a human philosophy limit the power of the cross!
