@SMpwrgr This didn't happen. Why do you covidians love making up stories to push your fringe agenda? The only reason you get away with it is because covidians are incredibly stupid and gullible. The pandemic is over, and wearing a mask in 2025 is a mental illness.
@DcrInYYC Well, covid is no longer novel nor exceptional. It is just like any other endemic respiratory virus now, and if you think otherwise, you're scientifically illiterate. The pandemic ended 3 years ago. Seek help for your untreated anxiety disorder, you fringe online doom cultist
@SuzanneHuse You do realize that people don't live forever, right? That old people got strokes pre-covid too? You are indeed a rabid ghoul. You doomsday cultists are no different from anti-vaxxers. Blocking does not change the facts you coward. It is not denial. You're mentally ill
@AlmightyBaa You're in a fringe online, scientifically illiterate doomsday cult. Enjoy cosplaying pandemic for the rest of your life, living in fear of an endemic respiratory virus
The point is...why are you so concerned that they got sick? People have always gotten sick and there are even anecdotal posts on Reddit and other social media of a student posting about getting sick more than once in a semester. It's normal and always has been.
@sam165_ Who cares? You by all accounts!
Your timeline is jam-packed exclusively with Covid stuff. You seem obsessed and all consumed (aggressive too, eg calling people mentally ill => projection?).
If you toned it down a bit, you might come across as less flippant and more sincere?
@AlmightyBaa It could be interpreted differently, but either way, Reddit is an echo chamber. It is not real life. The people who post there are biased towards those who have worse experiences. You don't see all the millions of people who had mild, uneventful covid infections, posting on there
@AlmightyBaa There is no such thing as "minimizers" and "calm mongers." The people you call that are actually just realists.
You people are MAXIMIZERS and FEAR MONGERS
@AlmightyBaa Also, science is not unequivocal. It is always revised as new evidence emerges. Absolute certainty is not achievable in science.
When covid was novel in 2020 and everyone was immune-naive, it was exceptionally dangerous (same with Spanish flu), but that's no longer the case
@AlmightyBaa OP says it's their 1st infx, so the risk is higher
"risk is cumulative" doesn't mean anything special. It's basic probability. Catching flu 3x is riskier than catching it 1x
Your adult children are & will be fine; covid is no longer novel. You're greatly exaggerating the risk
ER trip round 2 tonight because I got so dehydrated I couldnโt stay awake.
2 saline bags and an Influenza A diagnosis later Iโm back home in bed resting. Mask up this winter guys, these sicknesses are no joke.
@AmandaBalleng99 @picapiruli lol. Have fun with your fringe online echo chamber while u destroy your kid's childhood due to your neuroses, irrational anxiety, data & scientific illiteracy, and cosplaying a pandemic that ended 3 yrs ago...while everyone else, including children, are living life to the fullest
