I had a great idea for a talk last week which somehow has fallen from a 45 minute conference-worthy submission to a 10 minute lunch & learn since I started trying to write it. Hopefully the better parts come back. Stupid brain.
44con has been fun. Great to see some people again - itโs been a while! Always good to meet new people.
Some great talks and discussions and some fun ideas talked about.
See you next year, if not before.
Iโve ventured out of the house braved a commute to London to be at #crestcon
Looking forward to seeing people again & hope to catch some of you for a coffee/beer/water
I need to take action on this email, so itโs important I keep it unread and sitting in my inbox for the next 3, 6, or 12 months so I feel guilt and shame every time I see it which is 20 times a day.
I used to be like "What do managers even do with their time? Emails and docs aren't hard."
What a fool I was. Context switching, ensuring team and partners are aligned, and critical decision making are just a few of the aspects of being a technical leader.
Get yourself senior engineers who set a good example by clocking all the time they spend fixing things out of hours, and charging the company for required hardware and software instead of just using that spare copy lying around.
Thought of an excellent name for a kubernetes vuln: Kubethulhu.
Now it just needs a logo and a website and someone to help me market it.
Oh, whatโs the vuln? *rummages papers*
