There are high hopes for pua o te Rēinga/dactylanthus growing in ZEALANDIA’s forest floor! Seeds from NZ’s only fully parasitic flowering plant @ Ōtari-Wilton's Bush have successfully germinated. Now we wait about 5 years to see how these “flowers of the underworld” are doing👀.

@KrystleF Omg the planned road trips!! We had to stop in Taihape and nowhere else....on a 6 hour drive to tokoroa (or 5 hrs in our case because we only stopped once) 😂
