These are people who not only broke rules but didn’t even seem to know, or care, who was watching. And now they have the audacity to bold-face lie to us when we can see the evidence with our own eyes.
They truly believe we’re morons.
I truly cannot get enough of Signalgate.
This wasn’t some scrappy rogue chat thread. These were the most senior government officials treating discussions about launching military action with the same airy discretion as a brunch group text. Emojis and all.
It's ironic that Signal, known for secrecy and disappearing messages, has become the vehicle for one of the most embarrassingly visible blunders in recent national security history. It’s like trying to burn classified files in a fireplace and accidentally livestreaming it.
This kind of behavior is textbook abuser rhetoric.
Deny.
Attack.
Reverse Victim and Offender.
It’s DARVO at a national level, and it’s horrifying to witness from the person entrusted with leading the DoD.
This isn’t leadership.
This is gaslighting.
And it’s abhorrent.
BREAKING: When Pete Hegseth was just asked about the leaked signal texts, that the WHITE HOUSE CONFIRMED were leaked to the journalist, all he does is attack the journalist.
This is a sign of a coward with no defense. SAD!
They're called public records for a reason. Starting today, WIRED will *stop paywalling* articles that are primarily based on public records obtained through the Freedom of Information Act, becoming the first publication to partner with @FreedomofPress. https://t.co/ocQRSVUjlf
@AOC@JasmineForUS@SenSchumer@GavinNewsom Trump is dismantling and corrupting systems capable of investigating the election's legitimacy. By quickly ensuring GOP control of all branches of government and undermining the independence of courts, electoral oversight, etc., he is eliminating the possibility of accountability
I strongly suspect Donald Trump knowingly participated in election fraud. @TheDemocrats in every swing state should be demanding investigations immediately. Here's what we know:
