Really amazing response to our research - we’ve certainly got plenty of data to help tell us about male attitudes towards nursing 😄

@LyndaALynch@alisonleary1 Wholeheartedly agree and feel similarly. We hear lots about ‘learning from mistakes’ but what does that learning actually mean to organisations.
@LyndaALynch@alisonleary1@LyndaALynch Sorry to read what happened to your mum, awful that this happened… I can only think of how many other families have experienced similar but felt unable to speak up. It’s examples like this that really upset me, as a nurse, to read. We need to do better.

Poster 20 #SPPCParade24 Exploring Community Nurses’ lived experiences and perceptions of ‘preparedness’ to provide palliative and end of life care in rural Scotland: a qualitative study protocol @CmCarolan@ThinkUHI
Very well deserved 🌟 An amazing team of nurses that make a real difference to those living with cancer, their kindness and compassion during my late mum’s treatment and palliative care was a great support to us all 👏

Yet again, another great thread from @LeanneHPatrick
It’s sad to think though that many of our fellow nurses continue to believe and intact the traditional ‘hierarchy’ of decision making… sometimes feel the profession is it’s own worst enemy when it comes to recognition 🚩🙁
Nurses who progress into advanced/consultant nursing practice threaten the status quo.
They challenge the myth that nurses are simply passive handmaidens or angels who don't need a degree.
Nursing is a self-governing & rapidly advancing profession. Let's talk about it.
