What concerns me is the systemic effect of mass anonymity. if we look at sites like 4chan where anonymity is higher, its understandable that the "humour" is far more "boundary pushing" and that can create an unsavoury culture.

There are outlets for anonymously divulging information where anonymity is crucial. but that's a different conversation from "anonymity on social media" where the purpose of these sites is honest discourse.
