@HackingDave I totally feel this when doing AV work each week at church. My kids used to give me grief when they were in high school and then I told them to come do it one week. That's when that stopped mostly.
@Fat_Electrician Older-style data centers were constructed with poor evaporative cooling systems, which modern ones eschew in place of closed-loop systems. I can't speak to the eminent domain issues, but residential power goes up more for all the EVs on the grid than for data center usage.
@AngryCops It depends on the data center company, but the vast majority of newly built data centers use closed-loop cooling systems with glycol. Power costs in residential areas are more affected by the addition of electric vehicles to the grid than data centers.
@SteveD3 I loved these! Our church youth group had these and would go stalking through the neighborhood near the church after dark with these hunting each other. Someone called the sheriffs and we almost got arrested, but it was epic. Good times.
@SteveD3@securityweekly I add a bit of citrus and some bourbon to the brine, rinse well when coming out and then pop that bad boy in the smoker for 3-4 hours before cranking the heat to finish cooking and get the golden brown skin.
@Lowes Why would I purchase delivery and installation services and expect to have to pick up the dishwasher myself? It makes no sense whatsoever, and I don't need to deal with this kind of nonsense in the future. I won't be buying any appliances from Lowes in the future
@Lowes Ordered a dishwasher on 10/1 with installation and haul away for delivery on 10/8. Lowes installation team pushed the install date to 10/27. Today was notified Lowes canceled my order due to my not picking up the dishwasher within 10 days. Won't order from Lowes again
@Lowes There's no point bothering. I've found a local appliance store to buy from that has guaranteed me a delivery. Lowes support team said by selecting delivery and installation service, I, myself had 10 days to pickup or they would cancel the order for non-pickup.
@DellCares@DellCares Oh, I'm not looking for technical assistance at all. I'm looking to find out why an AC adapter I ordered 72 days ago hasn't shipped out. I'm looking to find out why the shipping date keeps getting extended by 2 days to never actually ship out.
@Dell I've been on 5 calls today to try to get a status on an AC adapter I purchased 72 days ago that hasn't shipped. Nobody seems able to help and I've been hung up on twice. Is this how you normally intend to handle customer care?

@Blackberry Not notifying users of Cylance Smart AV for home users that you're killing it is somewhat unprofessional. Hiding the login page you've been using for years without warning is wholly uncool.
