Iโve had 2 phone calls over the last week, and 32 video meetings in the same timeframe.
10 years ago that number was reversed.
20 years ago I had zero video calls.
Itโs much better to see people on calls.

@meedabyte@emagorse Companies do this because it's their strongest economic incentive & their clearest path to growth.
For true ecosystems to emerge there have to be "supracompany" forces shaping the incentives/disincentives. Eg: regulation, technical standards, non profit seeking competitors...
@ringIO If I were to judge based on what lands on my inbox, the AIs are still not that smart, and the humans are not doing their homework. So it produces #salesunengagement more than the desired outcome.
โThe future of B2B value selling is when buyer sentiment meets seller relevance with human engagement empowered by technology.โ

To chase ๐โโ๏ธ or to lead ๐?
That is not the question...
The real one is how to change your #salestechnique to get more #deals closed.
Here's how to stop the "chasing your #prospect nonsense".
You may think that doesn't apply to you...but...:

@destraynor (2/2)
2) The reason customers call is because they want to talk to a human, and deflecting them to an AI bot is not going to lead to faster resolution, just less readable clues that they're frustrated. A fancy form of deflection is still deflection.
@destraynor While I applaud the innovation, I think this launch misses 2 important points: (1/2)
1) If your phone can make an HTTP Post to Intercom and pass custom attributes surely your phone has all the context that is needed to handle the call. Chat is not inherently more context rich

@nnombela I would venture to suggest that part of the problem is an abuse of RDBMSes as a persistence mechanism. And an over-reliance on object frameworks for representing data that doesnโt fit the object paradigm naturally.
@joshmahowald@dpear85 * Set standards for tone & responsiveness
* Make sure team is empowered to do the right thing
* Build the training program bc call centers are a temporary stopover
* Listen to 5 calls / day & team 5 / week
* Talkdesk, Aircall, Five9, https://t.co/Qj8HPJK71H... all good choices.
