In the medical field, emotions alone are not enough. Never go excessively out of the way for any patient purely out of sympathy, because when problems arise, the law often looks at protocols and documentation — not intentions.

Exactly. That is the awaam. They don’t need academic grounding in politics. They feel what they see, and they speak what they feel.

If you truly believe in democracy, you simply count the votes and let the winners govern. You don’t rob ballot boxes at gunpoint and imprison the true winners just because you oppose them.

If democracy no longer suits you, simply change the system. You have already seized power and secured a two-thirds majority.

So why all this drama about being a democracy?

Journalist @AlifyaSohail who was present at Karachi Press Club to cover the protest today against 27th Amendment between 4-5pm has been arrested shortly afterwards as per the last message received from her at 5.25pm after which her number has been switched off. Alifya has consistently covered civil society protests and specially missing persons cases and BYC led protests in Karachi. Here whereabouts remain unknown. The Govt will condemn harassment of a journalist if it suits their narrative but will arrest and abduct journalists without accountability if they dare cover the truth against them.
