Thyroid day is observed on May 25: Let us unite on this occasion to understand and enhance our awareness regarding the relationship between thyroid dysfunction and its impact on mental and emotional well-being
Could your thyroid be affecting your mental health? 🧠
The thyroid may be small, but its impact on the body – and the mind – is profound. From regulating metabolism and energy to influencing mood, sleep and emotional well-being, thyroid hormones play a crucial role in daily life.
Research continues to highlight the connection between thyroid dysfunction and mental health. Low thyroid hormone levels may contribute to fatigue, brain fog and low mood, while an overactive thyroid can trigger restlessness, anxiety and disturbed sleep.
Sometimes unexplained emotional changes may be linked to an underlying thyroid imbalance.
Islam teaches us to seek treatment with hope and trust in Allah:
“And when I am ill, it is He who restores me to health.” (Quran 26 : 81)
The Holy Prophet (sa) said:
“Seek treatment, O servants of Allah, for Allah has not created a disease except that He has also created its cure.” (Sunan Ibn Majah)
Looking after our health is also part of gratitude to Allah. Awareness, timely testing and the right treatment can make a meaningful difference.

🗓 On This Day | 6 April ✨️
On 6 April 1894, the heavenly sign of the solar eclipse was shown in favour of the Promised Messiah (as) on 27 Ramadan 1311 AH.
The Promised Messiah (as) himself came out and observed the sky.
A special prayer was offered in the Mubarak Mosque, Qadian on this occasion.
This glorious sign manifested by God to prove the truthfulness of His servant, the Promised Messiah (as), compelled many fortunate people to enter the fold of the Ahmadiyya Jamaat in Islam.
Striking civilian structures, including unfinished bridges, will not compel Iranians to surrender.
It only conveys the defeat and moral collapse of an enemy in disarray. Every bridge and building will be built back stronger. What will never recover: damage to America's standing.
During the 90s, the fourth Caliph of the #Ahmadiyya Muslim Community said that a day would come when pressure from the American people would be so immense that the US government would have to let go of Isr@el. Then, the Arabs would surge against it like an ocean from all sides.
Beware of Subtle Shirk
“Mahmud bin Labid relates that the Messenger of Allah (sa) said, ‘The thing I fear most for you is subtle shirk.’ The companions asked, ‘O Messenger of Allah, what is subtle shirk?’
The Holy Prophet (sa) replied, ‘It is ostentation (i.e. showing off).’ On the Day of Judgment, when people are recompensed for their deeds, Allah the Almighty will say to such people:
‘Go to those for whom you used to show off your deeds in the world and see whether you find any reward with them.’
If they now seek forgiveness, they should seek it from those very people, and then see whether they receive anything from them. Thus, displaying one’s deeds or flattering others to gain worldly benefit from them is akin to putting someone alongside Allah the Almighty – and this is shirk, which Allah the Almighty greatly dislikes.”
