“For essentially every metric you can think of there are unintended consequences” — @asharling on the importance of creating meaningful metrics that actually tell you something about how the platforms are protecting their users from harm. #IFLPanel
@WillKaye Totally agree! Thing is, how can formal ed keep up w/ rapidly changing digital programming, etc.? Change in ed moves so slowly. Community ed is a potential, but who funds it? Genuinely curious if you have thoughts on that.

For the panel: Do you (US) policy makers understand digital tech / communication, platforms, and impacts on society enough make effective policies? #iflpanel

@wfryer@nytimes@wegotwits Awesome idea, Wes! Anyone want to host a discussion on this? I think we have April open... or we can organize a special edition of #digiuri#mediaclub. Thoughts or takers?
@kentonlarsen Hi Kenton, would you be interested in being interviewed for an academic study about native advertising training? If so, send me a DM and we'll go from there.

@reneehobbs@MedEduLab The interview is crazy interesting. I love how it takes the conversation we started re #medialiteracy as a solution (or not) to another level. Been struggling with the idea that some conspiracies are just that until they are PROVEN! Thanks to Gina for moving the convo forward!
What fun I had with this great podcast interview with Gina Baleria! This wonderful episode showcases the many talents of the @mededulab#digiURI community. We talk conspiracy theories, internet regulation, marketplace of ideas and more. Thanks @samarie82 https://t.co/Tjo9QFZEDm
