News Update: Emir of Ilorin Appoints Sheikh Muhammad Bashir Dasuki Imam Fulani as Chief Imam of Ilorin

His Royal Highness, the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CFR, has officially appointed Sheikh Muhammad Bashir Dasuki Imam Fulani as the Chief Imam Fulani of Ilorin Emirate.

The appointment follows a rigorous selection process in which Sheikh Muhammad Bashir Dasuki Imam Fulani emerged victorious among several distinguished scholars vying for this prestigious spiritual leadership position.

About the New Chief Imam

Sheikh Muhammad Bashir Dasuki, aged 42, is a grandson of the 8th Chief Imam of Ilorin, Sheikh Ibrahim Dasuki Imam Fulani Agaka, and the son of the blood brother of the 10th Chief Imam of Ilorin, Sheikh Maliki bn Dasuki Agaka.

Prior to his appointment, Sheikh Muhammad Bashir was the founder and proprietor of Darul Bisharah Arabic and Islamic Studies, Airport Egbejila, Ilorin. He also served as the Imam leading daily and weekly Jumu'ah prayers at Afsat Oloriegbe Memorial Mosque, Oko Olowo, Ilorin. Additionally, he is a presenter of the Al-Bisharah Islamic Foundation radio program on Radio Kwara during Ramadan and teaches at Darul Kitab College of Arabic and Islamic Studies, Gaa Akanbi, Ilorin.

Imam al-Ghazali in his great book Ihya’ Ulum al-Din described six types of women we MUST not marry as men if we want to live a good married life. This Gen-Z wife matches two out of the six: Al-Ananatu and Al-Baraqatu.

This Gen-Z wife is the perfect example of Ananatu. A woman who finds the natural responsibilities of marriage to be an undue burden and constantly voices her reluctance to fulfill them.

Before PMB the last security formation upgrade in the south west was in the year 2000 when OBJ upgraded the Lagos Garrison Command to 81 Div, a full mechanised division.

PBAT has established Army depots in Osogbo and Abakaliki and a Police Academy in Ijebu. He has set up forest guards, and he is working on state police. State Police changes our security architecture dramatically. No region in the country should be vulnerable security wise and Security architecture should be decentralized.
