@cjoye Excellent fact based article that is counter to the mainstream view (hope) that rate cuts are imminent. Thanks for trying to keep some balance to ‘conventional wisdom’!
@Mon4Kooyong The problem is, according to your own source of Bloomberg, that renewables can’t meet baseload. Eraring provides 1/4 of NSW energy and renewables aren’t a solution, so what now ? I dont see how cost is relevant ? This is misleading.

@sallymcmanus What is the point of a super increse when your Labor party is causing people to lose their jobs? Your government has made another rate rise inevitable, businesses now laying people off, it’s all coming home to roost.. no doubt why union membership is at record lows.
@andrewbogut@Bowenchris This should be the end of him, abusing tax payer funds… these guys can’t get work in private enterprise so why do we taxpayers have to carry them ?
@DavidPocock Why are labor (and want to be labor) politicians always focused on increasing taxes… why not focus on motivating people and businesses to innovate and increase productivity ? We will lose our best and brightest overseas with 10% of taxpayers already paying over 90% of tax !
@BarbaraPocock How about the government spends the tax income raised more effectively, any CEO that blew half a billion on a personal referendum crusade and got it so wrong would be sacked (hopefully he is in due course). Tax rates aren’t the issue !
