I'm absolutely begging @figma to just release 1 product this year at Config.
Last year's conference was incredible, but they announced so many products at once, it felt like Figma Make got totally buried.
9 months later, Claude Design is leading the race of converting engineers to designers, when it should be Make. I still believe that Figma could turn it around, but they have to reverse engineer the secret sauce that makes CD feel so much better
My feed has been jam packed with people trying to compare it to the Arkham series.
That trilogy is one of the best series on consoles ever, and the Lego game pays respectful homage to it, but yeah, it’s a Lego game. No room for the level of drama that Arkham city/knight had. Still fun tho
All the online hate towards the new Lego Batman is completely unfounded. I downloaded the game ready to criticize it, but this is the first Lego game that has truly clicked for me. It’s fun.
Last year I solo-built a full integration with the most popular CMS on the internet… for a major public company I’d dreamed of joining one day.
Three months of grinding, two weeks of perfect handoff. They shipped it the next quarter.
Then I applied to work there full-time. What happened next broke my brain. 🧵
Healthier mindset I adopted after this:
- Ship visible work outside the company (become undeniable)
- Build real relationships with the actual builders there
- Treat every application like a lottery ticket, not a verdict on your worth
- Keep your standards high and your ego low
