@melinterrupt3d it is 😭 tho he was manipulating him for a yes talking about their crazy attempts to save each other instead of the world and it still didn’t work. sam was so good in this episode
@uffolee (last thing lol) he wanted to tell the truth to sam the whole time but the angel manipulated him to not say a word or he wouldn’t cure sam anymore. he felt guilty, but sam alive was more important (and to me that’s where dean judgement gets wrong, not him seeing sam as his)
@uffolee he's totally ok with dying as long as sam lives and that's what makes sam mad, that’s when dean makes all the wrong choices (I'm so sorry for spamming you I’m done now 😭😭)
@uffolee he sacrificed himself so many times just to let sam live, killed death just to let sam live. I do not think he willingly wants to make decisions for him, I just think he wants his baby brother to live because he lost everyone and he can’t fathom losing sam too. not him
@uffolee having that constant urge to protect the person he cares about the most since he was 4, that mindset lived with him his whole life, was part of his entire persona and obviously he made some mistakes because of it, but I don’t think he saw sam as a piece of meat to own
@uffolee dean made some choices for sam in various seasons, but it’s not like he thinks sam’s life is his to control, it’s his fear of losing sam, that’s what messes with his head. he does stupid things when sam’s life is in danger because protecting him it’s what he thinks is his job
@uffolee yes !! this is stated multiple times (during the end of the apocalypse especially). they have conversations about how dean still see him as the child he had to protect and that he shouldn’t do that anymore because sam has to make his own decisions even if dean doesn’t like them
@sampenance he was so good here, i was so proud of him. after everything he went through, after what lucifer did to him and was still trying to do to him, he was so strong and said no with that certainty. no one could survive what lucifer made sam live and he still had the strength to say no
castiel genuinely deserved to go to superhell simply for his crime against sam (and humanity) by saying yes to lucifer AFTER sam refused him even with coercion and manipulation and all his filthy tactics
