Spearheaded by @ChefTomKerridge we are backing the #VATsTheProblem campaign, calling for a 10% rate for all hospitality businesses, alongside other trade associations and industry colleagues.

Our members have consistently prioritised a lower rate of VAT, on a par with the majority of Europe, to stimulate growth and investment in our essential sector, and allow us to thrive.

Pubs & hospitality operators are being pushed to the brink by unfair taxes. Our members’ insight shows that less than 1 in 10 will be profitable following yet more taxes from the budget including Business Rates bills going up despite Government promises. Urgent action is needed.

Challenging times for a sector that is so important in so many ways. So many incredible operators comprising their brilliant businesses offerings just to convert enough to stay afloat. Let's hope 'they' are listening 👂
