No dry eyes in our household! JET SWEEP JOE for the win! For those who don’t know, on February 10, 2022, we lost @TrawitzkiJoe far too young to a vicious cancer. Later that same afternoon, we had a colt foal out of our stakes winning mare Sister Blues. We always sell colts that we breed and keep the fillies to race, but that wasn’t going to happen - Joe was already looking over us. We decided then that we were keeping this boy to race and we were sending him to Big Joe’s trainer @mcenteeracing . Paul McEntee has done a masterful job with JET SWEEP JOE and if you want a small glimpse of the fight and effort that Big Joe gave everyday of his life, watch the battle down the stretch.

FIZZYPOPBERRYTWIST (2) is a maiden no more after winning her MSW at @BelterraPark! She was the first horse that our twin daughters named-they picked their favorite character from @MyLittlePony. This is what horse racing is all about - watching how excited they were during the race and celebrating after was amazing! Special thanks to Orlando Mojica Jr. for the FANTASTIC ride on our girl and @mcenteeracing and his team for having her ready to shine! @HallStables

Big Joe had a way of making everything feel bigger, brighter, and more possible. He didn’t just love the big moments, he LIVED for them. He made sure everyone else did too.

We didn’t grow up around horse racing. Joe brought us into the spirit of sport. He taught us to swing for the fences; celebrate everything; and never wait for “someday.”

To be at @ChurchillDowns during @KentuckyDerby week, with BAYTOWN DREAMER… it’s emotional for us because we know exactly who should be here with us.

He is, in a way.

We see him in the fighting spirit of our trainer, Paul McEntee - @mcenteeracing. The way we cheer. In the way we celebrate. In the way we don’t take a single second for granted.

Joe was the heart of all of this. And he always will be. We’re proud to continue his legacy and to work with the @maccfund to support their efforts against childhood cancer.

What a whirlwind 24 hours! Spent all day Tuesday at @ChurchillDowns for the 502-Day races to cheer on the @HallStables runners, but flew back home last night to pick up the family after school today. While back in Wisconsin today, @katie_barelmann and I sat down with @ashleyjwashburn from @tmj4 to talk about Joe Trawitzki’s legacy and the @KentuckyDerby, racing partnerships with @WinTheDayRacing and of course BAYTOWN DREAMER (and some JET SWEEP JOE too) - it should air on Friday. Chasing the dream that Joe Trawitzki started us on, @WinTheDayRacing is heading to @ChurchillDowns for @KentuckyDerby Day with Baytown Dreamer as he takes on the Pat Day Mile — and we’re bringing cheesehead energy with us.

Baytown Dreamer is training very well and coming into this race well rested. We’re proud to take this shot with him.

Special thank you to Paul McEntee (@mcenteeracing) and his team for having Baytown Dreamer ready for this moment. Through hard work developing and training Baytown Dreamer, he earned his spot to race on this huge stage.

Thanks as well to Danny Sheehy for putting in the hard work with him during the mornings to have him ready to shine under the bright lights - we know he’ll give you all he has next weekend.

Like every Derby Day, we know the Big Joe will be upstairs watching down and cheering us on - as he would say, why not us?! We plan to Win the Day and enjoy every moment!

BAYTOWN DREAMER is trained by @mcenteeracing and will continue to be managed by Paul and Cheryl McEntee - we couldn’t be more grateful to partner with them. They have done an absolutely amazing job developing and managing this horse, and it’s been inspiring to watch the brilliant care, dedication and horsemanship they show every day.

We feel truly blessed to be part of this team and to work alongside such great people who share the same passion for the sport and for the horses.

Excited for what’s ahead and grateful for the opportunity to chase big dreams together. He’s currently earned 7 points on the road to the Derby and hoping for more in the Jeff Ruby Stakes in a little more than a week!

We wanted a historical name for our 2yo American Pharoah colt (on the outside in the video) and I think we did: AMERICAN POPE. If we can somehow get this boy into the Breeders Cup this Fall we’ll have to see if we can get His Holiness to Lexington to swap out his White Sox cap for a different cap 😂 American Pope is training with @mcenteeracing and hopefully making his debut next month at @keeneland!
