Two bogus and fake cases were instituted against Shahid Khaqan Abbasi by NAB during PTI’s govt. One was about setting up the world’s cheapest LNG terminal and the second was about illegal hiring.

A professional Imran ul Haq was also jailed with him and implicated in both these unbelievably stupid cases.

Imran ul Haq is an outstanding professional with a Masters degree in Engineering from US and work experience in the US multinational, Bechtel Corporation. He was also the head of Engro’s energy terminal business and of PSO.

He was implicated only to make the case against Shahid Abbasi. Even Imran ul Haq’s ex colleague and PTI’s minister at the time of his arrest Asad Umer testified to Imran ul Haq’s integrity.

Because of these fake and bogus cases, Imran ul Haq’s stellar career in the energy business came to an end. Imran ul Haq as an employee and in-charge of LNG terminal built the terminal in record time. And as head of PSO gave PSO its highest profit ever. Instead of giving him an award, the govt jailed him.

Today Imran ul Haq was exonerated in this second case also. But the damage to his career and life remains.
