I had the honor of becoming friends with your former ambassador to the UAE, Sunjay Sudhir, and today I was deeply moved to learn that the captain of the Flydubai flight at the center of this terrifying incident was Indian.

His courage, alongside the bravery of those who intervened aboard that aircraft, helped prevent what could have been a terrible tragedy.

India is indeed a great nation, and I look forward to visiting your beautiful country soon, Inshallah.

When it comes to countering terrorism, India understands what serious nations understand: you do not negotiate with terror, you dismantle it. India will not accept the chaos, militias, and proxy violence exported by the Islamic regime in Iran.
