Before 2020: it used to cost 350-400Rs/person to eat out (decent restaurant, Delhi).
Now, it is easily 650-700Rs. Almost 100% inflation.
Eggs, dairy, vegetables, fruits (depending on your city) would have around 40-70% inflation.
Yet official inflation stays at 7-8%
As the 2023 Hockey World Cup commences in Odisha, my best wishes to all the participating teams. May this tournament further strengthen the spirit of sportsmanship and may it further popularise the beautiful game of Hockey. India is proud to be hosting this tournament.
In retrospect, the shortsighted zeal with which archaic vending zones were made along every major road in Bhubaneswar and converted the city to an ugly bazaar is the single most significant reason for the traffic mayhem one is experiencing today.
Finally #Rourkela Airport got its licence!!!
Director of Civil Aviation, Govt. of India granted 2C commercial license to Steel Authority of India (SAIL) Ltd, for Rourkela Airport.Commercial flight services to start soon with ATR72

Bhubaneswar as a city should grow, it’s, however, obsessed with patchworks. It chops luxuriant trees, hurriedly plants nursery grown shrubs on road meridians for window dressing, allows it to be vandalised after a show is over. Growth & crude consumerism are different.
Only way to decongest #Delhi airport is:
1. More hubs across India
2. Eliminating security checks for transit passengers
3. Asking airlines to distribute traffic between T3, T1 and T2.
4. Operating international services from T1 as well @Officejmscindia@MoCA_GoI@PMOIndia
