@Britpopmemories@puressenceband@PuressenceManc My memory is hazy but I saw them at Castlefield Arena and pretty sure it was same day as Manchester Arndale bomb and Eng Vs Sco in Euros. Weird sort of day.
@MarketBlondes@ManchesterMill Agree! As someone with little time for Burnham, I have found many such articles to be a little unfair on him but this seems much more balanced recognising many of his qualities too. Sacha Lord may well end up being his Mandleson btw.
@ByronicEnigma@MarketBlondes Transport in Manchester has never been crap. Maybe not perfect but definitely decent. As a frequent user of the bus, the service is no better/worse today than it was 10 years ago. It tends to be lorded more by people who rarely use it.
@MarketBlondes For what it's worth, my wife loves Andy nice but dim, I on the other hand have no time for him or the Burnham Evening News. I think he will win comfortably because many like my wife will engage with him, not his contradictions. As with G&D, this will ultimately aid Reform.
@AllyFogg Is that the Β£2 bus fares introduced by Sunak? Bike Hire concept developed by Boris? Improvements to the Trams introduced by Thatcher? Some people do like him but none of them use buses or trams & think they exist because of him. They think he sorted homelessness too. Charlatan...
@AllyFogg So far under the radar, it evaded most people in Manchester too. He failed on homelessness but painted some buses yellow. That's it, that's his legacy... Manchester Giants who preceded him are spinning in their graves...
@peterrhague@iAmJoshHunt As someone who went to school and grew up with the likes of Rayner, she is a white middle/upper class wet dream. The Red wall know the reality. A Grifter not a Grafter.
@SteveBoxman Ref wouldn't stop it, Looked to Doctors to stop it who wouldn't, who looked to corner to stop it who wouldn't who looked to Fabio to stop it by falling who wouldn't. Corner full of cnts... 2 rounds earlier and Fabio comes back, not so sure now.
