One can understand the appeal of religious nominalism. It gives you answers to life’s larger metaphysical and existential questions so that you no longer have to think about them. Then you’re free to get on with thinking about yourself and doing what you want.
Worship leaders, if you're wondering whether you'll be able to lead your people into God's presence tomorrow morning, relax. Jesus has already done what we could never do. Our task is to remember and rejoice! (Heb. 10:19-22)
Don’t devote your life to doing something big. Devote yourself instead to a good direction, and then do all the small things that God commands. Every day. Over and over and over. Then a day just might come when you discover you’ve accomplished something big.
