@lord_lord14@BCNursesUnion@BCNUAman@adriandix Oh… I believe Casual Nurses are dedicated. If all Casuals take perm lines… who covers sick calls and last minute LOA’s? Casuals are necessary, valuable, trained, talented assets. Shameful this issue has divided Nurses into an ‘Us and Them’ scenario.
@tmcmanson I’m a 40 yr , now Retired, Casual RN. Continuing to work in the OR to help fill the gap of needing to help train ‘new to the OR ‘ RN’s. It’s not an overnight process. And if all the Casual’s take perm lines… who fills in the sick calls?
@richardzussman 40% were a ‘No’. For me, as a Specialty Casual RN I am now worth less than my peers. We now have a 2 tiered system. Shameful. @BCNUAman
Hey @adriandix Why not send out invites to All for Flu Shots? I know many ppl waiting for over a month and can’t book one. ( no invite, no appt!) Make the process easier not frustrating! @keithbaldrey@GlobalBC
Wonderful meeting @katyhuff today at #COP27. Because of our diverse geography and weather, Canada will require various different clean energy solutions to meet our climate goals #SMR#nuclear.
So let me get this straight: the Vancouver Food Bank has to pay over $100,000 in annual property taxes but elite, exclusive private schools with the sweeping country-club-like lawns don’t pay anything? That’s messed up. #vanpoli#bcpoli#bced
This morning, several people, including staff and a social worker, called 9-1-1 from BC Women’s Hospital. They reported that a woman was armed with a knife, was screaming and threatening staff, and was trying to break in to a locked nursery.
40 years in Nursing… and still fighting the fight for overall respect and support. Hospital Managers that hand out Crayons to help with stress, some think buying the Nurses ‘Blizzards’ will appease them and ‘make them happy.’ The mass exodus continues. #BCHealthcare#Nurselife
With inflation making life more unaffordable than ever in BC as we head into a local government election cycle, it’s tough to muster much confidence that our political leaders at city halls will be offering any real relief on important pocketbook issues. https://t.co/xRTMHIfejF
After Hillary lost, she wrote her third memoir, filmed a documentary, co-founded a production company and launched a podcast.
She didn’t spend the next two plus years tantruming on her fake Twitter while demanding a do-over.
But do go on about how women are too emotional to lead.
A great example of ownership in major projects: The Inuit community of Inukjuak initiated this run-of-the-river hydroelectric project with a 50/50 partnership between the community Innergex. Revenue will support the community’s educational, social needs.

@TrishP97 @CFNU@CFNUPresident Retention has always been this biggest issue. Nurses being told there is ‘nothing’ that can be done with a ‘work/life’ balance issue in todays job climate is just ‘talking the talk’ and not ‘walking the walk’. Value every Nurse. Listen to their concerns.
There are eight people running for UCP leader.
Only one has spoken against the US Supreme Court decision to take away women’s reproductive health rights.
The silence of the other seven is deafening. #ableg#abhealth
