Here’s the problem with finance:
I made more money in stocks in 2025 than I did in my business.
I worked like a dog for the business.
I did no work with the stocks.
From a strict financial perspective, I should sell the business and just focus on stocks.
But if I do that, society is worse, because the quality of our products would be degraded by the new owner or simply cease to exist.
Our products teach kids engineering thinking (Brain Flakes), how to read/imagination play (TigerHart), and more.
I promise you that the money and time I and my team put into that is many times more useful to the world than anything the world could extract from dumping a few extra dollars into the markets.
But everything is society tells me that I’m an idiot for working on toys.
To be honest, it’s not even respected.
I should just be “compounding” financially.
Even the tax code says that.
There’s a higher tax on making useful products for people (30% to 35%) in my country than there is on stocks (20% or so).
We need to change the incentives, starting with the tax code.
Capital should not be getting an advantage over labor, especially when it’s other people’s capital (carried interest loophole for example).
Stocks don’t make life pleasant.
Bakers, builders, designers, delivery guys, craftswomen etc do.
At the very least, the tax code should reflect that.
I’m a Christian with stage 4 cancer. 10 months ago I was told I had about 6 months to live.
I’ve been fighting cancer for about 29 months total at the time of this post. I won’t lie. Humanly speaking, it’s been a pretty awful ordeal filled with losses, instability, and straight up pain.
The Christian claim is not that faith removes suffering, but that it
relocates it - placing it inside a larger story where death does not get
the final word. To belong to the household of God is not to escape the valley, but to walk it tethered to the One who has already walked through death and come out the other side.
I've come to see my suffering not as a random tragedy, but as part of a
much bigger war - a cosmic conflict between good and evil that runs
through every human story.
I believe we live in a created world that was desecrated by a foreign
evil - a corruption that entered through sin and rewrote the goodness of creation with malignant code. Cancer isn't from the heart of God; it's a symptom of the serpent's vandalism. My good cells were
hijacked, re-scripted by the de-creative power of the curse.
But in Genesis 3:15, right after the fall, God gave humanity a promise -
that a Deliverer would come, one who would crush the serpent's
head. That Deliverer is Jesus Christ. Through His death and resurrection, He secured a sweeping cosmic victory over death, sin, and hell. The whole Bible tells the story of how this Ultimate Good defeats evil. All evil. And all of its accoutrements!
“Because God’s children are human beings—made of flesh and blood—the Son also became flesh and blood. For only as a human being could he die, and only by dying could he break the power of the devil, who had the power of death. Only in this way could he set free all who have lived their lives as slaves to the fear of dying.” Hebrews 2:14-15
That's the true story I'm living in. My suffering has meaning because it's
tethered to His victory. What was meant to make me fear death has
instead made me long for resurrection and love Him more. What was meant to silence my faith has only amplified it. The cancer that was supposed to destroy me has become my vehicle to glorify God. My valley has become my weapon - because I'm part of a story that cannot end in darkness.
The cancer that was supposed to get me to “curse God and die,” has instead been used to humiliate the enemy that thought cancer was his to wield against me.
I have experientially felt the truth of Paul’s words: “when I am weak, He is strong.”
My suffering has not been removed, but it has been relocated.
And so, dear reader, I invite you into that same sweeping victory.
Connect your pain, your questions, your suffering to the One who
conquered death itself. His name is Jesus. Through Him, every valley ends in light.
After all, none of us are suffering from anything that a good resurrection won’t fix.😬
If you find in yourself even a faint longing for that kind of hope - not a quick “fix-it,” not guarantees, but a Person to trust - then that longing
itself is an invitation. Jesus does not ask you to clean yourself up,
perform belief, or pretend certainty.
He just asks you to come to Him.
He asks you to come honestly,
with your fear, your questions, and your wounds, and to humbly entrust
yourself to Him. Faith, at its core, is not a formula. It is a yielding - placing your life, and yes, even your suffering, into the hands of the risen Christ. And those hands still bear scars that say "you are loved indeed.”
"A man's role is to provide. I am a woman."
This is a powerful weapon in the hand of misogynists to exempt women from school and opportunities. As a working adult, you cannot wilfully choose to be useless. The whole essence of empowering people(women inclusive), is to be useful to yourself, YOUR FAMILY, and the society.
You cannot be asking for empowerment only to demand to be fundamentally useless. You cannot asked to be empowered like your male counterpart, only to decide to be fundamentally useless because you want to be taken care of men you had same opportunities with. Your contribution to your family is a part of the collective effort in fixing society.
The whole point of marriage is unity, and unity does not exclude money. This means that every income earned in that home from the man and the woman are joined together to run the home. We work not because we like working but because we have to pay bills. You cannot be a working adult and choose to be useless.
I agree that the cultural practice around marital rites needs to be expunged because they were founded on principles that leads to King Chidi's mindset. While those practice worked for that generation, it has no place today. It defeats common sense, logic and good covenant.
The thing is, you dont need to do all these to be the head of the home. You are the head by being a man. But because culture is expecting you to do these, you are clapping back by taking her as an object purchased for pleasure. I still submit that you people need to evaluate why you want to get married.
Your leadership in the home is not contestable, but leadership is not a pretext for evil. To lead, you have to be kind, you have to show up, you have to lead by example, you need to protect and provide for your family. You need to work together with your partner in the best interest of the home. The woman you married is not a slave. You dont want her losing her voice or sense of worth because she is married to you. Familial respect doesn't come by bullying and totalitarianism. Home should be everyone's peace and safe place.
I know you people want to sound and appear Alpha strong, but being a strong man, includes being kind. There is nothing weak about kindness and compassion. There is nothing weak about looking out for others. There's nothing weak about being honorable. You're not a sucker to have integrity and to treat your partner with respect.
And in the wise words of C.S. Lewis, when we masturbate, we focus on self and an imaginary multitude of admirers. This robs us of the requirement of interacting with people and the real world to smooth out our rough edges on the way to becoming the best version of ourselves.
- Don't accept gift from woman to avoid disrespect.
- Don't collect money from woman. Borrow from your friends instead.
- If you collect money from woman, it is a loan and you have to pay interest.
- Your money is for your woman. Her money is for herself.
- If your wife is earning 350k and you're earning 350k. The family income is 350k.
Your own woman ooo. The self hate is impressive. LMAO
If they ask people in relationship to stand up, you too will stand up 🤡
- Always assume incompetence over malice. Especially If they're omitting things, assume they are incompetent and perhaps 'lazy' but not malicious. The former 2 are fixable, the latter not so much
- Learn how to have conversations, even if they're uncomfortable or annoying.
@_champjames Most women will downplay how much work this is while most of them simultaneously refuse to do it. My advice to men however isn’t to stop or not do all this, but to be more selective about who you do it for
Okay so are we now acknowledging the reality of the situation at least?
If our institutions give women preference in education and jobs, men become 'economically unattractive' and the birth rate plummets.
This is what we wanted right?
If an ordinary thing cannot bring you joy, you are not happy.
Happy people feel the sun on their face and smile. They get a text from a friend and are overcome with joy. They feel gratitude for a cup of coffee.
If you think millions of dollars or an “exit” will change your mood indefinitely, I have news for you
There's nothing logical or intellectually superior about people who:
- say yes and mean no.
- require truth and facts to be diluted before they can receive it.
- blame their every wrongdoing on someone else rather than take accountability.
- experience consistent hormonal fluctuations like Nigeria's electricity situation which translates to frequent mood swings.
-Ask questions they know the answers to but prefer to be lied to to preserve their delusions. necessary a
-believe they're simultaneously stronger yet deserve egg treatment.
- claim to be independent but want to be provided for.
- comfortably hold two contradictory opinions and think both are correct.
The opening remark is one of those feel-good statements that's designed to appeal to women's ego but lacks any substance or validity. Just like "what a man can do, a woman can do better". It's horse shit.
The burden of competence is not placed on women but men so there's no world where such a thing as "developing intellect for women" is a necessity for social advancement.
It's a choice for you. It always has been. You can big yourselves up with meaningless affirmations in your little girly camps and sister circles but out here, you'd be reminded of what's obtainable in reality.
Social media has only been mainstream for ~15 years.
The seeds of the fatherlessness epidemic were planted decades earlier.
Also, if more fathers were present fewer children would be 'raised' by TikTok and Instagram. Little kids shouldn't even have smartphones.
