@Alexbateman1@divbyzero@oriordankevin True! I was looking at all valid guesses in Wordle, not just potential answers (which is a subset of valid guesses I think). I'll have to see what anagrams in the answer list have the biggest discrepancy in guess quality
@Alexbateman1@divbyzero@oriordankevin The biggest discrepancy in quality of initial guesses for two anagrams is between EMEUS and MEUSE. The former leaves on average 295 words whereas the latter leaves on average 230
@wtgowers Yesterday I asked my partner if she had played Wordle before and she did not know what it was. I showed it to her on her phone and suggested she guess any word to start off. After a moment of complaining that she couldn't think of any 5-letter words, she guesses, no joke, "query"
