Students need to learn how to use AI, but they also need to learn how to think for themselves. So in schools there should be some kinds of work where students are expected if not required to use AI, and others where it's banned, and no mushy middle ground in between.
speaking of which, a good method for rapid deep learning I’ve found lately -
> open Claude in a directory dedicated to a specific topic you want to go deeper on
> prompt it to act as an expert on the topic and interview you one question at a time, gauging your knowledge level and gaps and recording them to a md file each turn
> after a few turns have it map your level of understanding to a tailored learning plan
> use the plan and its memory to keep diving deeper on the topic, effectively both teaching you and augmenting your brain
> bonus: connect to other subject directories for it to form a latticework of your understanding
