What’s the versatility trait that separates AD from Rudy in your opinion? Is it switching onto more mobile players? Is it ability to get into passing lanes?

Imagine if LeBron is sitting there telling Ant and Lamelo “show me you can be the mature, serious leaders of this team and I’m in”. So the boys are getting the gang together to hang with Rudy in France, and then LeBron rocks up baguette in hand and is a wolf

@MarzTalksSports @Drex_OW @vjpinter_ @Nerd_Sesh @Carsobi @tylerbritton_ Rudy is actually a fantastic switch defender, even on great guards, can be used 1v1 or as a roamer. I think that’s pretty versatile. I don’t think Rudy is just a standard rim protector archetype, there is not a world where AD should be drafted over Rudy in a defense draft.

I’d just like to say that the Minnesota Timberwolves even being mentioned as a potential LeBron spot shows howl far we have come since the Gobert trade. We gave up too much, but this franchise never becomes a serious contender without Ant learning how to win right away with Rudy.

@TonyLiebert KAT was a distressed at the asset at the time and held one of the biggest upcoming contracts in the league, there weren’t many teams capable or willing to take on that contract. The Knicks trade was like 60% flexibility, 20% Donte+Joan, 20% Julius from a desire standpoint I think

@JonKrawczynski Jon am I crazy seeing this as a win (wolves twitter seems to think otherwise)? Moving back 5 picks at the back end of the draft where there is no guarantee to get a rotation player, to free up on-court roles for Naz/Slim, $$ to re-sign Ayo and flexibility for future moves. Win.

3. There could be an additional move (i.e a Rudy trade) to come which makes this less of a reset move and more of a retool move.
4. I personally am happy with added responsibility for slim and Naz, re-sign Ayo, give young fellas more rope, and free up picks and $ for future moves

2. This move might be net negative, but if the wolves are taking a stance of giving the U26 guys a clean run, and we free up some future flexibility, this is a win for a minor late draft slide.
