Later today, Dr.@kizzabesigye1 and Hajji Obeid Lutale's matter returns to court for preliminary hearing ahead of the commencement of substantive trial on 11th June.
Besigye's defence team had earlier filed an application requesting to be granted Constitutional Court interpretation in which defence argued that the 7day window to prepare following evidence disclosure was insufficient for a fair hearing.
In his ruling Justice Baguma stated that defence failed to raise substantial Constitutional issues requiring Constitutional Court interpretation.

“You cannot say that you have Shs158 billion to purchase cars for MPs and then claim that you do not have Shs 28 billion to pay medical interns’ allowances, with the excuse that it would crush the economy. By the way, doctors are rarely in the hospitals. It is the medical interns who are everywhere doing the donkey work,” Archbishop Stephen Kaziimba Mugalu

It's coming to 2 months since Gody Christopher aka King Zale was abducted by the military in coordination with @PoliceUg . The mother is asking for his body or bone if they have already killed him so that he can be given a decent burial 😭
This government 🙌🏾
Unless Uganda is being punished for benefiting from the exploitation of DR Congo’s minerals, why should Ugandans be barred from entering Dubai and Canada because of six Ebola cases when all the victims are still Congolese citizens?
Our brothers and sisters have spent months on remand, yet the regime continues to play hide-and-seek with their lives by denying them rights and freedoms guaranteed under the Constitution. As this continues, the Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs @norbertmao remains silent while the rights of Ugandans are allegedly being violated.
Many citizens are left wondering: what have Ugandans done to deserve such treatment? Every citizen deserves justice, due process, and equal protection under the law, regardless of their political beliefs or affiliations. A nation can only move forward when the rights and dignity of all its people are respected. But we will never give up till we free.

Hon. Namugga Gorreth has added her voice to many Ugandans calling for the release of those jailed over their political beliefs. This is not about political parties, but about justice and human rights. We continue to demand freedom for our brothers and sisters who remain behind bars simply for expressing their views.

Just got the terrible news that we’ve lost our brother @MasterParrot .
Old funny conversations, careless hearty laughters are the painful memories you live with us my friend.
Until we meet again.🫡
Update:
Tomorrow we will not have our X Space.
We are trying to reduce the frequency of our discussions from four times a month to two times a month. This will help increase the value and impact of each session while giving us more time to mobilize, prepare and strategize effectively.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support.

Hon. Muwanga Kivumbi Muhammad and the 23 co accused are expected to be brought before the International Crimes Division on tomorrow, 1st June 2026 at 9:30am on what are being described as bogus terrorism charges.
We call upon all concerned citizens to stand in solidarity with him as he appears before court.
May justice prevail 🙏
A few days after Gen. Mbadi was removed as CDF, the military activated a provision that grants the CDF powers that were previously reserved for the Commander-in-Chief, who is the President. This marked the first significant step in consolidating Muhoes transition.
Today, Muhoes has the power to promote and demote officers, authority that none of his predecessors possessed. At the same time, active generals who are not aligned with the transition process have either been forcibly retired or reassigned to civilian roles. This has effectively distanced them from military command structures and weakened both their military influence and political ambitions.
Kind reminder that high court on 25th may ordered government including CDF, commander SFC and others to produce the body (dead or alive) of Naziwa Agather aka Gen. Blue tick to court on 29th May, 2026 which will be this Friday.✍🏾
The man you see here is Dr Kizza Besigye. During the bush war of 1981–1985, he served as the personal physician to rebel leader Gen Museveni.
He left his medical career in Kenya and joined the NRM. As we speak, he has spent over 560 days in prison on what many describe as bogus charges, while his right to mandatory bail and other rights are being violated.
Gen Museveni betrayed him and had him thrown in prison, while his son, the CDF, continues to say that he will be hanged in public.
Today, he is coming back to the High Court as his legal team continues the fight to secure his bail, despite his life being in a very difficult condition.
This is a rebel who only respects his own family members and abuse others.

Did @NUP_Ug carry out any evaluation of the previous performance of some of these people? Nambooze performed very abysmally as chair of the Government Assurances committee. There was no report after the first half of Parliament. I didn’t check again after that so I am not sure how many were put out eventually, if any. The newly appointed commissioner and former Chief Whip Nambeshe is also involved in the irregular recruitment we are discussing today, the former KCCA councilor had so many allegations against her I don’t know if the party first investigated her. #UgandaParliamentExhibitionII
