@ShitCloutGoblin@shanselman@realchrisebert Well to be honest, if itll make them more productive, if itll make them happier in what they do, then it doesnt really matter to me if they use comic sans or times new roman. Pick what makes you happy and deliver value at the end of the day 👌
Oooo....
Though I think that this applies to radical candor too.
Often people mistake psychological safety not so much as "impunity" but as "extreme restriction of expression" -- which it also is not.
Most people don't realize Psych Safety and Radical Candor are the same idea.
Which cert should you get? Get the one that the employer you want to work for requires. If they don’t require any of them (& truly Agile organizations don’t), then don’t get any of them. Cert requirements are a good indicator of a mediocre company. Is that where you want to work?
A "Sprint Goal" is never "we completed these N stories." My notion of a Sprint Goal is: 'we solved this problem for our customers' or 'we made it easier to do work in this product area' or 'our customers are happier.' The goal is about outcomes.
Agile is a psychologically safe, people-centric, learning culture where teams are trusted to work iteratively towards strategic goals using small experiments. (How’s that for a definition?).
Instead, we increase the efficiency and capability of the team (not the headcount) and focus on making the work easier to accomplish, so that we can do more in a shorter time.
Then we put in the work that fills (some of) the time earned back by being efficient.
Rapid growth splits you into 3 factions:
1. Those knowing the product but working badly at scale
2. Those who know to work at scale but don't know shit about the product
3. The majority knowing neither
