One unfair criticism of Luka is that he always looks mad or like he’s about to cry. That’s just how white people look after exercising. Every time I leave the gym, that’s exactly what I look like.
But I guess I do cry a lot in the gym, so maybe that’s why.
@Starstruck09@lynziekate I REALLY hope both statues make it to their new homes. It’d be a huge disappointment if that doesn’t happen.
I imagine they will.
Can I ask… why is it so important for people to be in Dallas to watch the Mavs/Stars/whoever else?
I’ve never been to a Cowboys game and thought: man, this would be such a better experience if I was in Dallas city limits.
Imagining a world where you can go INTO the city your teams represent and actually see them play
Surely that would never be possible in Dallas, there’s no spot good enough for an arena (except there is & it exists already)
@jos3_avila Is it possible to live/work/play in the DFW without a car?
The sprawl is one of the huge downsides to living in this area. It’s just an unfortunate reality of DFW.
Clearly I underestimated people’s love of downtown Dallas.
Maybe it’s because I worked there for 5-6 years and then had to drive through 3-4 more years, but the reaction surprised me some. I’m okay being wrong on this take.

Watching last nights game and I thought to myself, there’s no way KAT cowers the way Chet did.
Which is crazy, considering the narratives about him being soft. I haven’t always been his biggest fan, but Wemby will have it tougher now that he faces KAT and not Chet.
@supalaser@lynziekate Calm down tough guy.
In the tweet you are replying to I literally said I still prefer the downtown location because of its centrality and easy public transportation.
@purpskurpz Just googled the locations and yeah, that’s probably the ideal, having them all in close proximity.
I’d be all for that, but it’s too late considering the sprawl of the area and trying to get all teams on board is tough.
@cjdalltx2026 Do you know how the rodeo is today?
I haven’t been in forever and I have girls who love horses, so I had thinking about checking it out soon.
Ultimately, I’d still prefer a downtown location. Mainly for nostalgia, but also for ease of public transportation.
And I’ll always hate 635. It’s been under construction for as along as I’ve been driving.
I’d also add, with ticket and parking prices constantly rising, I rarely look to do more than just attend games. So I prefer more in-arena/stadium options than trying to make a day out of a game, but clearly this is important for folks.
