“All of us have to learn how to invent our lives, make them up, imagine them. We need to be taught these skills; we need guides to show us how. If we don't, our lives get made up for us by other people.”
— Ursula K. Le Guin
“I do not write against anyone or anything. For me, writing is an absolutely positive act: it is articulating what one admires, rather than combating what one detests. To write merely to denounce is the lowest form of writing.” Deleuze, 1995
“What is trying to come into the world through you?” -Gordon White
There is so much magical power in this idea. Most of us waste our time manifesting a slightly better life.
But the real magic is in aligning yourself with the divine; channeling the gods to reshape reality.
As healers, our role is to create an energy field that represents the healed state for a particular person.
Their job is to resonate with that state, this then allows their own healing energy to move through their system.
If someone doesn’t want to heal you can’t heal them.
It’s not just that these old systems of power dominate and control us. It’s also some part of us helped create them, psychically and metaphysically, through the way we relate to power itself. There’s still a part of us that wants an external authority to be in charge, so we don’t have to be.
Are you willing to be sponged out, erased, cancelled, made nothing?
Are you willing to be made nothing? Dipped into oblivion?
If not, you will never really change.
— D. H. Lawrence, Phoenix
“The unconscious is the chapter of my history that is marked by a blank or occupied by a lie: it is the censored chapter.
But the truth can be refound: most often it has already been written elsewhere.”
Jacques Lacan, Rome Discourse
Michael Dumontier and Neil Farber
The daimon — the ancient Greek term for one’s higher, eternal guiding spirit or divine double, is the spiritual being that accompanies and shapes the soul across lifetimes.
It is not the everyday personality but the deeper, immortal “I” that carries the individual’s true destiny, the essence of their eternal being, and the thread of spiritual life that connects them to the cosmic order.
“I see that you have thoughts you are unable to express. If that is so you must know that you too have not lived so far according to your own conception of life, and that is not a good thing. Only the ideas that we really *live have any value.”
-Herman Hesse, ‘Demian’
