I’ve been working on a stock tracker that lives in the macOS menu bar.
Multiple watchlists, live charts, portfolio tracking, custom themes, and lots of attention to the small interaction details. Here’s a first look
@extra_ed For sure, go to https://t.co/2ivVgEHuz2 and use the following code: RPR-SNQB-JGYG-YSRF-S7DT-14NM
The update in this tweet will be available in a few days
I’ve been working on cleaner graphs, fuzzy search, disk and network overviews, and a new menu bar item for Reaper Monitor!
Of all those, the vector graphics have been the hardest to get right, but they’re worth it!
@laurensnys Here is code to redeem at https://t.co/2ivVgEHuz2, should be valid for 10 activations, and ill send you one in private just in case: RPR-SNQB-JGYG-YSRF-S7DT-14NM
@laurensnys It’s a fancy Activity Monitor I built do debug the other apps I’m working on, I can give you early access if you’d like, and probably gonna release it in a week or so to general public
@localhost_5173 Interested to see how this turns out.
I have been working for roughly 8 months on a GPU rendered UI system…
Although I’m not using rust, nor any dependency like taffy (like you might be using) etc.
I’m interested in seeing your FPS, I currently reach 3K with more features
So am I supposed to just send secrets to @Grok Bot for him to set up stuff and be useful and ignore the local logs with those in raw text, or the fact that the logs are on some random server?
It needs better secrets management
Getting Reaper UI’s animation system right has taken a while, but I finally have something to show for it!
All written in Odin, rendered directly with Metal.
Playing around with replacing Codex Meter’s NSMenu with a Reaper UI surface rendered in Odin. Now the menu-bar dropdown can contain any regular UI component.
@aaesalamanca DX is much better with the custom UI, it's much easier to do what you want, performance is better, but I'm not sure it matters for this kind of apps.
@theo It's an education problem disguised as a marketing problem. You'll first have to explain what a harness is before the distinction can mean anything to them
I really should have used the @grok discount on the Heavy subscription instead of the regular...
Right now its the only model that I enjoy working with. Smart, Concise and Fast!
Would anyone want this?
I built a small macOS menu bar app that shows Codex usage and lets me use a reset without opening ChatGPT.
I made it for myself, but I can release it if there’s interest.
