Alas, that requires guards/wings that can both spread the floor with outside shooting and rebound, neither of which our backcourt could do once Kev went down. With a restructured roster, KJ absolutely has a valuable spot on this team and I’m glad to see he’s returning.

KJ and his skillset were not the problem this year. What he does, he does very well. Rather than playing as the 4 alongside Hunter, he should have been replacing him in lineups when we went small and needed to play uptempo - similar to the approach with Mitch and Dave in 2022.
