@Alex_A_Guerrero kinda sucks even for okc fans (i am one of them) cuz it diminishes the reward of winning games like this one, or the game 7 (with the way caruso was defending jokic)
Congratulations to @add_hawk, one of the coolest philosophers around today, who's on the @voxdotcom

@paulbloomatyale "What Does It Mean to be Biased: Motivated Reasoning and Rationality" by Ulrike Hahn and Adam Harris (2014) is a great critical survey of the literature
@GreggDCaruso aligns with at least one way of reading the notion of suchness (Tathatā) in some buddhist doctrines--the world as it is deprived of delusion. one way of taking that, given that the world is composed of momentary sense-impressions (dharmas), would be a world of pure qualia.
@messina_jp *enter kids these days/attention span/social media expanation*
best thing to do though would be to ask them if possible, they'll tell you! some groups are full of people who love reading. especially if its accessible writing.
godspeed
@messina_jp there were reading response assignments + lecture was participation-focused--but there was so little uptake it was tough to watch.
if you assign 100+ pages some students will definitely read it! but my sense is that the longer the total pages are, the fewer will read at all.
