This is how they treat someone who isn't even burdened with a stigmatising diagnosis. Can you imagine the notes if the dignosis was BPD
"Patient gets in a tizzy over nothing. Doesn't think cup of tea and bath wld resolve crisis. Pt reminded discharge likely if refuses to engage"
I happened upon this letter from 10+ yrs ago. I'd never seen it before but now I could combust with anger.
This is complete fabrication. I told him the threat of homlessness was real and urgent. Working v.short contracts as a project co-ordinator made it all but inevitable.
Perhaps he found the systemic injustice and consequences of casualised labour too uncomfortable to sit with? Who knows?
At least you can dismiss that consuming terror as pathologically irrational. As long as your patient is an unreliable witness, then all will be well
I'd put pen to paper on a 1.5k job that I expected to be able to rely on in leaner times. Even after minimising my outgoings as much as humanly possible, I'm still left with a Β£280 defect this month.

Bed collapsed at 4am. This is not an unusual occurrence. In a couple of weeks, I can start actively seeking a second job. Hopefully, it won't be too long before I can purchase a bed frame that isn't propped up on piles of books.
The US long COVID stats are wildly overstated because ... they included anyone with a non-specific illness who had previously had COVID?

Any recommendations for tried-and-tested books or other resources on managing ADHD? Medication has made a huge difference, but I'd like to work on myself some more now that I know what I'm dealing with.
I can't take drowsy antihistamines because they send me very insane (jerking, hallucinations, derealisation). The only other drug I've known to do it is mirtazapine. Discovered via an insta reel that a starting dose of mirtazapine acts as an antihistamine. Mystery solved.
