@LilywhiteLab Had the same thought. Worried about rest defense, as I don't see Frank using 2 fullbacks to build up in a narrower 3 2 or 2 3 as in preseason.
With the way frank likes to stretch the pitch vertically, I struggle seeing him use free 8s consistently.
Would love it, though.
@LilywhiteLab Love the vid!
I think odobert + spence on the left to provide width from the front and free up porro. I agree with sarr being essential but bentancur v bergvall is a tough one. I think bentancur will start with bergvall coming on later (for Rodri or sarr depending k game state
@Dostoevskyquot The book feels like a guide to small-mindedness and pettiness. It guides you through unhealthy - but plausible - thought patterns, leaving you aghast by the final conclusion of these thought patterns.
To me, the book seems intended as satire of a specific archetype of person.
@InvertTheWing Having a consistent 1v1 threat out wide may be transformative, as at the moment the main means of progression only use the wingers for one twos. I think this is why people are hyping Odobert
@Billie_T Gray has been amazing, no doubt. porro is definitely worth a mention. despite dips in form, he has played an insane number of minutes and leaves it all on the pitch every time he plays.
huge respect for both of them (and obv deki)
@InvertTheWing His runs off the ball are so good. not talked about enough... was a big contributor to Sarr's goal imo. Unfortunately, this does not show up on the stat sheet.
@LastWordOnSpurs@SkySportsPL what a player he is. that decoy run for the sarr goal is such a good example..
great in and out of possession both on and off the ball.
@InvertTheWing would son not be best utilized as an inverting wide forward with the left back overlapping? We have seen Ange do that before with udogie going on the outside. Seems like the best choice to me
@nomoresadboys @DylanoA4 notes from the underground is one of my favorites and around 200 pages or so. In my opinion, it is a great place to start, but has a somewhat different style from the others.
@LilywhiteLab biss with a dropping madders will likely suffice for buildup, but may necessitate sarr as the other 8 against teams that come out to play. Against low blocks, I have little doubt that biss, madders, deki will work well.
May need to experiment with spence over porro for solidity
