This is a big deal. Second time in a day I'll say it: every scientist has a line beyond which they won't stay silent. Even editors. Bravo, @NEJM. https://t.co/cfxYHuUMEt

Honestly, this is terrifying. As Americans are shuttered in their homes, afraid and confused as to a plan, unclear why testing is nowhere near it needs to be to reopen the country, an unhinged President is terrorizing everyone who isn’t 100% with him and there’s no relief.
A notable shift downward in projected deaths from coronavirus is already being spun as "experts were wrong!!" instead of "hey, the thing experts said would drive down deaths might be driving down deaths."

This is a lie. Any “major hospital” that does surgery has more than 2 ventilators. But just because hospitals have them at baseline doesn’t mean they have enough ventilators when there is a sudden increase in demand.
Trump: "I don't believe you need 40,000 or 30,000 ventilators. You know, you go into major hospitals sometimes and they'll have two ventilators. Now all of a sudden they're saying, 'Can we order 30,000 ventilators?'"
The Trump campaign just released a cease and desist letter demanding that TV stations immediately pull this @prioritiesUSA ad. So obv share it everywhere!

@nanglish @SarahSears Thanks so much for responding! You made our day. We had been driving around southeast PA saying “go iggles, you dirt!” trying to get into Philly accents.
@nanglish Question: my wife and I noticed that you’ve used the phrase “you dirt” in a Doughboys show and in Pawnsylvania. Is this a Philadelphia phrase? @SarahSears #nanggang
