@alanlawlor@freakybeatnics@anon_opin This still presumes access, and that's never guaranteed. Would you be happier turning up to the airport and finding out you can't fly because the connection is down?
There's approaches that work 95+% of the time, but nothing beats a small paper document for reliability.
@freakybeatnics@anon_opin Imagine landing after a fourteen-hour flight and discovering you're not even allowed to get through security to a cafรฉ for some breakfast for another twelve hours because the Internet is down at the airport and they have no idea who anyone is.
@CallMeFebel@BitsHammer "Sergeant Remus, that vehicle had sixteen bullet holes before we got there, the paint was scorched off one side and it was probably owned by one of the mouldering corpses within..."
"Nevertheless, the cracked headlight casing was our fault, and thus our responsibility."
Means testing is the extra 6 pages of rules to stop the ninth place player from potentially sneaking in an extra victory point in a broken engine building game where the winners started with thousands and continue to snowball.
TL;DR itโs stupid.
REVEALED via @BylineTimes: @Nigel_Farage's longstanding friendship and working relationship with the convicted racist and anti-Muslim European race war fantasist who mentored Tommy Robinson and launched the film he used to instigate the #FarageRiot https://t.co/Nzk4AGZhAO
@NafeezAhmed Leaving aside all the despicable political positions (I almost wrote 'views'...) and foreign connection that make it all look a lot like treason, I still find myself disgusted that these so-called British 'patriots' don't know the pound symbol is an 'L', not an 'E'...
@cicero6666@afneil "Take the bait"...?!
Did somebody goad him into being a disgusting fascist shitbag? Did someone force him to say objectionable stuff? No. There was no "bait", just anti-human scum dropping their masks and other anti-human scum (that's you, btw) cheering them on. Fuckwit.
Proposal: any pensioner can qualify for the winter fuel allowance by making a public statement admitting that the state pension is a welfare benefit. The govt. would probably save even more money!
๐งต We spoke to some pensioners in Leigh last week about the decision to restrict the winter fuel allowance. I expected it to be a negative reaction, but was taken aback by how negative and particularly to the means testing element. Worth sharing quotes some to show the scale...
@cragz_uk@theipaper@IanDunt So you're saying your fash idol is in the habit of issuing malicious frivolous lawsuits against anyone who criticises him? I thought you subhuman pond scum all pretended to care about "free speech".
The far-right thugs are loud and get noticed, but that's because unlike them, most of us have jobs and lives to get on with. When it's clear to the public it's necessary to go out and demonstrate for decent human behaviour, it's equally clear the far right is a tiny minority.
@John48231@TotalMoodHoover@I_amMukhtar Let's assume for a moment that the fascist dipshit was acting in good faith with info he'd received that he knew may turn out later to be wrong: in what world was it remotely responsible to make that unreliable info public?!
Are you incredibly dense or just an agitprop traitor?
It always cracks me up when white English people say the problem is Muslims don't integrate to our society because having lived in Portugal amongst English immigrants I can assure white English people don't integrate for anything or anyone.
@Patsyblueshoes@DrStrangetwit@theipaper@IanDunt (This is a rhetorical question, by the way, it's trivial to see from your profile you just like that kind of thing yourself, and your actual problem is that you don't like the ordinary not-morally-repugnant people of the UK realising that we're actually in the majority.)
@Patsyblueshoes@DrStrangetwit@theipaper@IanDunt Not sure I'm getting your point. Are you suggesting that it's OK for Farage to be a racist Nazi-sympathiser who endorses the divisive gutter rhetoric of Enoch Powell because the person who brought it to your attention has some political views you don't agree with?
Now we just need to make it illegal for them to have significant profitable holdings in the UK unless they're tax-resident here and we'll be away!
All the super-rich do is damage society and then threaten to not pay all the taxes they already don't pay if we ask them to stop.
@thupwang@JohnConstableRA When the "ones one doesn't want to see" make up such a significant and vocal part of the platform population it's hard to block enough of them to make a difference; and when the platform owner endorses them and their views it's clear people against said riots just aren't wanted.
@IanRedford8@Claire221080925@VictoriafromN@StanCollymore This kind of response is so incredibly telling.
Not "I actually have rational reasons for my beliefs"
Not "you've misunderstood, I actually meant..."
Just "yes, for some reason the things I say frequently lead people to describe me as a categorically bad person".
Wonder why.
I'll let my most-recent kitbashing project speak for itself here...
Still my favourite era of GW sculpts, even with the ridiculous hands, stilted poses, and clown shoes.
a) These are riots, not protests. When people turn up with weapons and an intention to cause damage and injury it's not a protest in the first place.
b) There's no "deep-rooted anger", it's a tiny racist minority who just loves violence.
WTF, @BBCNews ?!
Here's an article describing far-right activists completely fabricating motivations and bussing in thugs to cause trouble, and it's "Protests reveal deep-rooted anger"?!

Anyone legitimising this crap is as complicit as Yaxley-Lennon.
