Just in: Free agent guard Anfernee Simons has agreed to a two-year, $12.3 million deal with the Philadelphia 76ers, with a player option in second season, sources tell ESPN. Simons chose the 76ers over other suitors believing his fit is perfect with the revamped 76ers roster.
T.J. Houshmandzadeh on Makai Lemon:
“He’s just a good football player. He just doesn’t have the size you would like outside of that. If he was six feet, he’s like, ‘Oh, that’s a great pick.’ It’s because of one, you’re not very big. Two, you went to an offense that really wants to run the ball. Three, you went to a quarterback that he ain’t giving you opportunities to make 50/50 plays, at least he hasn’t shown that he’s gonna do that.”
choosing to forfeit the game rather than cancel Pride Night — THIS is solidarity in action, bravo to their entire organization (& shame on those players)
I think for me once Jalen won a Super Bowl and was Super Bowl MVP, on top of having the greatest statistical performance by a QB ever in a Super Bowl in 2022, and the goalposts kept moving - it became obvious that people would never be satisfied and so I put less and less stock into things like hit pieces or all the narratives and agendas surrounding him as a QB.
I can only speak for me but things like that latest story literally do nothing for me.
