What's happening in NYC is a blaringly loud message to those in the Dem establishment who still cling to old politics, recite focus-grouped talking points, and are too afraid to say what needs to be said.
We have a lot to learn from @ZohranKMamdani and his campaign.
Last night I stood up for those who need Medicaid, Medicare, and Social Security. Democrats will never abandon the fight to make sure every American has a safe, healthy, and financially secure life. #ISaidWhatISaid
A guy who makes $8 million a day off the government thinks seniors getting $65 a day they worked their whole lives to earn is a “ponzi scheme.”
Protect Social Security. Fire Elon Musk.

One thing I’ve noticed is the right radicalizes people *into* voting while the far left radicalizes people out of voting. The right says “the deep state is holding you down” “ feminists and are out to get you and dilute your manhood” “trans people are out to get your kids” “POC are taking over your country and taking your jobs”…. And the only way to stop them is to vote for us.
On the far left you hear “both sides are the same, they’re both bad” “democrats never do anything” “America is evil and unredeemable” “the system is rigged against us and can’t be changed” “voting won’t change anything”.
With these dynamics it was obvious the right would gain power over the left. One side valuing political power while the other side rejects it; a dynamic we have to reverse
Okay so now it’s Kamala. I think—AGAIN—every white person who wanted him to drop out needs to figure out how to defend a Black woman in person and online for the first time in their lives. That’s the job now. I’d like to see it, but I never have.
@noodle_hat @dustintech@bchesky True! I don’t think the cleaning fee is the issue - it’s being expected to take out the trash, strip the beds, etc, AND pay high cleaning fees. I do prefer to stay in an Airbnb over a hotel, especially for a longer stay or with a group to be able to actually spend time together.
@dustintech@bchesky I agree with this. The cleaning fees are not exclusively the issue. It’s high cleaning fees coupled with long lists of requirements for checkout that are the problem for me. And showing total pricing or just moving cleaning fees into nightly rate doesn’t resolve either problem.
