The underground economy is fueling the violence in communities of color through the sale of drugs and guns. Guns have become a part of a subculture within the culture that glorifies violence and a criminal lifestyle that leads to either death or prison. What we see today on the streets of America was predicted in the 1960s when alarm bells were being sounded about the disintegration of the family and fatherless homes.
Literally just sat down at my desk for the day. Haven't even opened our show yet.
The first thing I learn?
IMPD has opened 5 new homicide investigations since 8pm Tuesday. They found 3 bodies in a remote wooded area near the interstate. Then, we had 2 shootings 🤯
Indy we have had 969 people shot or stabbed with 178 homicides in 2021. The city on pace for another record breaking yr of violence. Until the city fixes the broken judicial system, & change our crime prevention strategy, the violence will continue to surge in Indy.
Indianapolis has become a war zone with out of control violence. I am at 38th & Lafayette Rd where 3 people had been shot with one person being killed. This senseless violence in Indy is just madness. @RickFOP86
Absolutely no crime prevention program in Indy should be under funded and particularly those programs who have shown evidence in the past and present to make significant impacts!
I was a investor in a aviation project a few years ago and my pilot let me fly right seat to see what it was like to fly a plane. I think it would be good for the critics of 10 Point to “fly” front seat to see what they do a few nights 😃
TRAGIC VISUAL: Pics from latest INDY Death Scene...Residents and Officers are Stuck in the Middle of the Violence. NOTE: (No Politicians anywhere) Same night Indy Council Dems Voted along Party Lines to REJECT Gunshot Detection and Accountability for Criminals w/ Guns #Shameful
@hammerandnigel@RickFOP86@93wibc You have to agree with the FOP President. How could a committee be critical of an employee of the police department following safety guidelines? What would have been the consequence if an officer wasn't properly attired and was injured as a result of not having their equipment.
Indy in the first 2 days of 2021 5 people have been shot, 4 people have been stabbed, and 1 person killed. In the last 421 days 1,482 people have been shot or stabbed, and 268 people have been killed. The last 6 yrs have been the highest homicides yrs in the history of Indy.
If you are looking to make a year end contribution please consider the Indianapolis TenPoint Coalition a non-profit 501C3. The mission of Indy TenPoint is to help curb the pattern of urban youth violence as it impacts young men of color ages 12 to 24.
