Doctoral Researcher in Criminology @UniofNottingham. Researches experiences of being personally affected by terrorism. Views are my own. #victimology 🇳🇴/🇬🇧
It was lots of fun to present my forthcoming paper at the ESRC funded PhD Development Day 24’ at @UniofNottingham! Thanks to organisers, speakers, and to all who travelled to attend this excellent event!
@UniofNottingham Knowledge Exchange and Impact Awards 2024 - it was an honour to be a finalists for the Rising Star Award, the only PhD candidate to make the shortlist. Was exciting to meet other rising stars and excellent researchers from UoN & beyond. @PhDVoice#impact
Feeling incredibly grateful to the NHS today. Even through the doctors’ strike and the chaos that comes with it, they still were so patient and caring with me after my bike accident. Thankfully, it’s just a concussion & sore arm. Thank you NHS & Notts QMC!🫶🏻
Great to have such media coverage on SAT’s report. CICA is not fit for purpose, and the experiences terrorism survivors have had with them are too shocking to be ignored.

@sandraloining co-author of the report, writes: 'The public will be appalled by how survivors are being treated. While the Government has been big on promises of change, nothing has been delivered and it's victims who are paying the price.' #dailmail:

Abstract accepted! Am looking forward to sharing the findings from my research & recommendations for reform around terrorism victims’ needs and lack of rights. See you in Florence @esc_eurocrim#EUROCRIM2023 !!
ENQUIRE 2023 concludes - thank you to the amazing speakers and of course @tarabrabazon for her fantastic keynote! It was a pleasure to organize this conference along with these two (and to present my research there), and already look forward to next year’s event!
Lesley - I am absolutely thrilled to be a part of this magnificent gig. Thanks to you and your colleagues for the invitation. I am #excited. See you on the other side of the world - really soon. All my love and respects to colleagues. Biggest wave from @CDUni
On the 6th anniversary of the Westminster Bridge terror attack, it was very impactful to attend the memorial and then speak to @pritipatel and @DaltonLeong about what needs to change for survivors of terrorism. Thanks to @travisfrain & the team for organising.
Trying to get a train to Manchester for a research interview today proved impossible with cancellations/delays/re-scheduling. After 7hrs of travel with only an hour to spend in town in between, it was quite relaxing to get to a yarn sale then get some crochet done on the train🧶
