@emollick Poor middle management is so often the result of designing a solution, promoting people, to the problematic belief that all career paths must exist inside the company.
Current criticism is fueled in part by the absurd stuff posted by FAANG middle managers re: comp and workload.

@Carnage4Life Home automation is great for families. I know when the kids come and go, can turn off all the damn lights, and actually check on doors and whatnot. But anything else feels like a privacy risk, particularly Echos and Nests, so we dumped 'em.
