The loophole that helped a customer at @joinditto get his money back -

Recently, a customer of ours injured his shoulder in an accident.

In the rush of an emergency, he used his corporate insurance to cover the surgery instead of his personal plan.

The procedure went smoothly, and most expenses were covered while some minor costs weren’t. But that wasn’t much of an issue.

Post-surgery was when the real challenge began.

He realized that his physiotherapy sessions were incredibly expensive — and his corporate insurance wouldn’t cover them.

He turned to his personal health insurance but to his disappointment, the insurer denied the claim.

Their reasoning? Post-hospitalization expenses are only payable if they are tied to the same hospitalization under the same claim ID.

In simpler terms: since his surgery expenses were claimed under his corporate policy, the insurer argued that the post-hospitalization claims could not be linked to his personal insurance.

It was a textbook technical rejection.

At first, it seemed like nothing could be done. Until…we found a perfectly LEGAL loophole.

Since a portion of his surgery bill was unpaid, we advised him to submit a claim to his personal insurer for those remaining expenses.

That single step generated a valid claim ID.

The result? With the claim ID in place, the costly physiotherapy sessions were classified as 'post-hospitalization' expenses, making them eligible for reimbursement. The insurer had no reason to reject the claim now and finally agreed to pay out.
