Labour, Tories, Lib Dems and Greens: I demand you stand down in Clacton. I will be a unity candidate and pledge to build at least one affordable house.
Nigel Farage says he wants The People versus the Establishment. So be it.
Leave him to me.
The Spectator gave George Cottrell a platform to publish completely evidence-less claims. And is now doubling down on the bullshit.
Oh & now I’m in league with someone who’s either a spy or a crack Labour black ops team. One or the other.
Scandalous.
18 months in arbitrary detention. No charge. No evidence. Torture attested by his lawyer, marks visible on his body.
And instead of covering this, @BBC amplifies Israel's unproven claims casting doubt on a hostage doctor.
>BBC's journalism in the time of genocide.
"Yes, I regularly discuss matters related to the FIFA World Cup with the President of the United States" - And when you were asked to suspend the Genocidal Israeli Regime from football, you said we shouldn't mix football + politics. You Infantino are a corrupt Hypocrite...
This is the most Nigel Farage thing Nigel Farage has ever done. Stand down in the safest seat Reform holds, then stand again so he can win it back and say: “See? 20,000 people voted for me, so we can all forget about my dodgy billionaire mate.”
He is such a fucking drama queen.
OMG… this is way better….the Belgium team kept trolling Donald Trump in their locker room after destroying and humiliating the USMNT in Seattle yesterday….this is absolutely delightful!
‼️ The stages of UK diplomacy on Palestine are:
1. Israel has the right to defend itself.
2. Something appears to have happened to some Palestinians.
3. We are waiting for a court to tell us whether it was a crime.
4. No, not that court.
5. Or that one.
6. Actually, Judge, this is for ministers to decide, not the courts.
7. Ministers are deeply concerned…
8. …deeply concerned about members of the public protesting about what is happening.
9. While we establish who did the concerning thing, we will continue the arms-export carve-outs.
10. Strong decisive action is now needed - Ban a few pro-Palestinian protest groups and arrest a few grannies for terrorism.
11. We are aware of concerning reports about the concerning thing.
12. We have raised the concerning thing with the people accused of doing it.
13. Britain’s commitment to the rule of law is resolute.
14. Israel has the right to defend itself. Return to stage 1.
FIFA's claim of political neutrality lost all credibility the moment Gianni Infantino appeared wearing a Trump supporter cap at the first meeting of Trump's Board of Peace in February.
It's difficult not to see the current events in that context.
Bélgica tendría que apelar ante el TAS, de manera que si Balogun juega, Estados Unidos se arriesgaría a perder el partido por default. Recordemos que el TAS es independiente de la FIFA.
Let's be really clear here, Belgium are not fussed about the player himself - they are fussed about the corruption and precedent set. They are willing to take a stand for the integrity of the sport, and that should be respected.
FIFA and the US should not get away with this.
🚨 𝗕𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚: The Royal Belgian Football Association has released a statement in regard to Folarin Balogun being able to play against them.
"The Royal Belgian Football Association (RBFA) is astonished by FIFA's decision to declare suspended United States player Folarin Balogun eligible to play in the USA–Belgium match on Monday, 6 July at 5:00 p.m. (Seattle time)."
"FIFA bases its decision on Article 27 of the FIFA Disciplinary Code. This provision states that the FIFA Disciplinary Committee may decide to suspend the enforcement of a previously imposed disciplinary sanction."
"However, Article 66.4 of the same FIFA Disciplinary Code clearly provides that a red card (sending-off) automatically results in a suspension for the team's next match, as has been the case for all previous red cards issued during this FIFA World Cup."
"Furthermore, and irrespective of the above, the decision is in direct contradiction with the provisions of the FIFA World Cup 2026 Competition Regulations, as set out in Article 10.5:
"If a player or team official is sent off as a result of a direct or indirect red card (second caution), they will automatically be suspended from their team's subsequent match. In addition, further sanctions may be imposed."
"The automatic nature of such a suspension was also explicitly reaffirmed in FIFA World Cup 2026 Circular No. 16, which was distributed to all participating member associations on 12 May 2026."
"The same rule is reiterated at every FIFA World Cup 2026 Match Coordination Meeting prior to each match and is included in all FIFA World Cup 2026 workshop presentations.
"In order to safeguard the legitimate rights of all participating teams and to protect the fundamental principles of fair play in our sport, both at this FIFA World Cup and at future editions of the tournament, the RBFA is investigating all potential options."
Just to be clear, then. FIFA:
1) can't possibly intervene when Iran are forced to move, a referee is denied a visa, or fans are barred from the USA
2) can absolutely intervene when a decision goes against the USA that Donald Trump doesn't like
Smashing. All know where we stand
So, the White House made a direct call to FIFA to ask Gianni Infantino to review Folarin Balogun’s red card, and they suspended the one-game ban straight after.
The US should have never hosted the World Cup.
FIFA just effectively cancelled a US player's Red Card because Donald Trump asked them to.
It's time for an end to the corrupt FIFA they are now fixing the games and disgracing the sport.
At the Conservative Friends of Israel annual lunch, Tory MP Nick Timothy says “the war in Gaza is no genocide…”, to rapturous applause.
These people are despicable.
