"You won't remember me..." Children's authors often touch the lives of kids but mostly we don't hear about it. https://t.co/cbgzeNn0Q7 #mondayblogs#writingforkids#kidlit
@CovidSafeEdAus Why are all Australian kids not equally deserving? Application processes benefit some and not others for a whole range of reasons. This is better than nothing but significantly less than acceptable.
@MFWitches Worth a read. The scope of the tax cuts and how little it would take from them to make major differences elsewhere ... but stll not happening #RaiseTheRate https://t.co/QyeeJVecav
A visual look at the scope of #taxcuts - where they are going and what a small portion of the largest chunk might could cover instead #jobseeker#auspol#raisetherate https://t.co/QyeeJVecav
@emmabrice3@hughriminton Same here. Referral from specialist to another -3 months. Referral to same specialist from GP 12mth. Paed want brain MRI but couldnt get under Medicare but GP could. Logic was explained but made sense only if at start of journey not 2 years on
@RossFloate Just do it. So easy. My test suggested a colonoscopy so bowel cancer could be ruled out. A more aggressive neuroendocrine cancer was accidentally discovered in the small bowel. Neuroendocrine cancers are rarely diagnosed before its too late. Saved my life.
@KatApel Ouch. Rest and recover. Be gentle on yourself. A garden bed ledge gave way under me 13 months ago and I faceplanted on the concrete. Lucky to only break my nose. Still hurts if wear glasses all day but grateful it wasn't more serious.
Catching the virus elevates your risk of memory problems by 77%. It elevates your risk of stroke by 55%. It elevates your risk of seizures by 80%. That’s because Covid attacks the lining of your blood vessels, and it attacks your brain cells.

@NeejaB My son developed POTS at 14, 6 years before Covid. Couldn't stand up or repeat a sentence back. Diagnosed by brilliant GP, managed by brilliant cardiologist. Takes Ivarbradine, Midodrine, Mestinon, Propanolol. Gentle exercise program. Funtional now although still struggles.
@DarrenJaSa@drkerrynphelps Statistics are not necessarily straight forward and often require context. This is why vaxxed numbers are higher in icu etc. The unvaxxed risk is still.higher whem in context of vax/unvax population %. Hope this helps. https://t.co/0y0Y6BDRrB
ATAGI: #HCW don't need a 4th vax dose because they are more likely to catch it in the community. Not at work. Why does it matter where they catch it? Without them the health system will collapse. And community vax waning increases their risk. #COVID19AUS
@RealBCThinkTank@YouAreLobbyLud This is a very pertinent and sobering line from the article: "Today, if you need a lens to examine any country’s response to coronavirus, look to its nursing homes." #COVID19#agedcare
@suburbangurban@JohannaPreston7 @DavidGr07837209 @davidbewart In my experience older people care very much about the future. Many have grandchildren and other young people in their lives. They want to leave these a safe, healthy, climate proofed world to live in.
Morrison is outraged, suggesting a 5.1% wages increase is far too much, but guess who’s getting a 6.9% wage increase in the 12 months up to 1 September 2022? Yes, it’s Morrison. If it’s good enough for the Prime Minister, it’s good enough for the workers of Australia. #AUSVOTES
