@rleeinva@factpostnews The need for 60 votes is purposeful. It means no extremist law will be passed because the law has to appeal to the middle. When you aren’t negotiating to get your bill passed you aren’t doing your job.
@ask_aubry His 8 yo ADHD son cannot read. CANNOT READ. It's going to take a full time expert and full family buy in over several years (no breaks for vacation) to get that child caught up to grade level. It's not a make the neighbor lady a cake problem.
@HerndonforIdaho@freedomcaucusID It’s pretty rich, you and your cronies thinking you somehow own the Republican moniker, attempting to deny longtime traditional successful Republicans a seat at the table. Instead you make yourselves small and isolated, like the 5 year olds at Thanksgiving.
@haiti4eva@AfricanArchives This is the biggest piece we miss about the horrors of slavery. Jefferson’s white children and black children shared 3 of 4 grandparents. By the 1820’s most Virginia plantation were surviving by selling slaves. Owners selling their own children to support their white families.
@AmericanHartza@jcdeloof@43SBdotcom That was shorthand for some volunteering I did to get the Education Initiative on the ballot. LOL walking around with a clipboard in public is eye opening to say the least!
@cakesandcourage I especially love the ones that buy themselves a “homestead” less than 10 acres, no irrigation, with a less than 110 frost free days, riding around on their four wheeler with their guns, going to the feed store every week for chicken feed. Dehydrating zucchini.
@a_wild_acafan @cakesandcourage The genuine answer is that a good gardener with an average size lot can grow a lot of food. The thing you realize though is that you often eat the same thing for weeks at a time while it’s in season. Eating asparagus every night for 6 weeks can have an interesting side effect😜
@MollyJongFast I’m amazed at the amount of anti abortion legislators and voters that assume their personal line of morality is exactly reflected in these laws. They are completely baffled when the laws are putting people in crisis. Morality is personal. That’s why choice matters.
@Denny_Lama @Critterpolitter @Tolemy5 @dogmusic9 @Marilyn65243696 Huge contingent of young un/under employed men living in their parents basement who believe foremost in their entitlement and then all the conspiracies that validate it.
@Chucho05087033 There was a mourning period when I let my sister go. It still brings stuff up when I hear how she treats my mom. It is both a reminder that I did the right thing and devastating that there’s no room to rebuild. Leave a path for your niece to find you if she wants. Build family ❤️
@Jipcgirl1@tbonier Yes we’ve also had a massive influx of West Coast Republicans at or near retirement. It will take a huge effort to overcome that. Young men don’t seem as interested in voting unfortunately. See this as I’m knocking doors, and at info booths at events.
@KathyA11@tbonier The ones I see newly activated are students, healthcare workers and teachers. We have a ballot initiative to more fully fund public schools. I hope that’s a motivating factor to vote this fall.
