ರಾಮನಗರದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಮತದಾರರ ವಿಶೇಷ ಸಮಗ್ರ ಪರಿಷ್ಕರಣೆ (SIR) ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬೃಹತ್ ಅಕ್ರಮ ನಡೆದಿದ್ದು, ಇದರಿಂದ ಪ್ರಜಾಪ್ರಭುತ್ವದ ಆಶಯಗಳಿಗೆ ಧಕ್ಕೆಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಚುನಾವಣಾ ಆಯೋಗದ ವಿಶೇಷ ಮತದಾರರ ಪಟ್ಟಿ ಪರಿಷ್ಕರಣೆಯ ನಿಯಮಾವಳಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಮಾರ್ಗಸೂಚಿಗಳನ್ನು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಗಾಳಿಗೆ ತೂರಿ, ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ BLOಗಳನ್ನು ದುರುಪಯೋಗಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ನಡೆಸಿರುವ ಈ ಪರಿಷ್ಕರಣೆ ಕಾನೂನುಬಾಹಿರ ಎಂದು ಆಗ್ರಹಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.

ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಲಾಭಕ್ಕಾಗಿ, ಮತದಾರರ ಪಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ತಮಗೆ ಬೇಕಾದಂತೆ ತಿರುಗಿಸಲು ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಉನ್ನತ ಮಟ್ಟದಿಂದಲೇ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥಿತವಾಗಿ ಸಂಚು ರೂಪಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಆರೋಪಿಸಿ, ಸ್ವತಂತ್ರವಾಗಿ ನಡೆಯಬೇಕಾದ ಸಾಂವಿಧಾನಿಕ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಈ ರೀತಿಯ ಹಸ್ತಕ್ಷೇಪ ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಆಡಳಿತದ ಮೇಲಿನ ಒತ್ತಡವನ್ನು ಖಂಡಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.

SIR ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆಯ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥಿತ ಪಿತೂರಿಯ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ತಕ್ಷಣವೇ ನಿಷ್ಪಕ್ಷಪಾತ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಮಗ್ರ ತನಿಖೆಯಾಗಬೇಕು ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಅಕ್ರಮವೆಸಗಿರುವ BLOಗಳನ್ನು ತಕ್ಷಣವೇ ಅಮಾನತುಗೊಳಿಸಬೇಕು, ರಾಮನಗರದ 3 ವಾರ್ಡ್‌ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊಸದಾಗಿ SIR ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆ ನಡೆಸುವಂತೆ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಸರ್ಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಆಗ್ರಹಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.

Serious lapse in Ramanagara. Instead of conducting house-to-house distribution of ECI enumeration forms for the Special Intensive Revision (SIR), BLOs are mass-distributing them at a community hall. This completely defeats the purpose of a thorough door-to-door verification.

That is an awful VAR intervention given the manner in which this World Cup has been refereed.
Lamine Camara was sliding in to clear the ball and is about to play it. Youri Tielemans places his foot ahead of Camara’s and is hit by him.
There is no intent to foul. The referee didn’t see a foul. Why VAR intervenes against the African champions when it has declined to intervene time and time again for far clearer penalties is hard to understand.
