What’s terrifying about this clip isn’t their ideals…these sweet gals’ hearts are certainly in the right place. What’s terrifying is they have the civic, political, and economic literacy of a 9 year old. When a charlatan like Abdul comes along with the Jr High class president schtick of “no more homework and the vending machines are all free!”, they fall for it.
I don’t know how you get to that age with ZERO understanding of supply chains, manufacturing, labor costs…but a lot of folks think that medicine and MRIs and hospitals just materialize out of thin air like unicorn farts. They’ve never built anything in their lives, so they have no concept of how things function…things are just…there. They think milk comes from the store. They think rich people don’t pay taxes, even though the top 1% fund 40% of government with their taxes already, and yet 40% of all Americans contribute ZERO federal income tax at all. These people don’t understand that you could tax the wealthy at 100% and it would only fund the government for 120 days. Then you’re screwed.
Too many Americans simply have zero understanding of how anything works, and even though they’re living in the easiest times in human history, they think things are “terrible out there”. These commie scammers roll through and promise them things that sound great, but aren’t possible in reality, and have devastating consequences if tried…but because they don’t know anything, they fall for it. Sadly, so many of our politicians and their advisors are such atrocious communicators, there’s like zero countervailing narrative to push back on the commie gobbledygook, so we are gonna have to learn the hard way. Guys…we just had a sample of socialism: Covid. We all got universal basic income, and it ended up tripling our costs and they’ll never go down. Ever. That one brief little experiment in command and control government will haunt us the rest of our lives. Bleak stuff, man.
I had to plan Katie’s funeral; she is in a grave, and I will never hear her voice or see the life she should have lived, while you defend a criminal illegal immigrant like the one who killed my daughter.
Where is the compassion for Katie, whose life was sacrificed at the altar of failed policies and political ideology that you champion and defend to this day?
This political compassion and the ideology behind these policies deserve scrutiny when the consequences are measured in human lives.
This is disgusting political theater. Sad.
.@NBCNews, here’s the story your political bias and ideological loyalties are obscuring:
A criminal illegal immigrant recklessly endangered his own 5-year-old. What kind of parent does that? He showed blatant disregard for innocent human life, yet he is elevated as the sympathetic character while accountability takes a back seat. This morally bankrupt framing is a dishonest inversion of right and wrong.
This is not someone we should be championing or portraying as simply our “neighbor.”
When will you amplify Katie’s story and those of the thousands of other innocent victims whose lives have been stolen?
Katie was killed by an intoxicated criminal illegal immigrant with a horrific history.
Illinois’ policies enabled a system that protected him while failing to protect her.
She was innocent.
She deserved to live.
Allow me explain it so you can "comprehend" it: 1. Kid wasn't visible from the exterior; 2. Driver was wanted on a warrant, for questioning in a separate shooting at a federal officer, is a reported violent gang member, has a felony prior, and was here illegally; 3. Driver tried to mow them down; 4. NYPD is forbidden from targeting illegal felons or from cooperating with ICE, so the feds were on their own; 5. The perp knew who they were--the idea that he might've thought guys with bodycams and vests drawing down on him were maybe looking to rob him (of what?) is utterly ludicrous. You don't think a Trinitario knows what a rip-off looks like? 6. You find this "incomprehensible" because you, like most of NYC's political class, live a life far-removed from the depredations that career criminals inflict on neighborhoods, law-abiding people, businesses, kids, the elderly, and others unable to defend themselves from this sh*t. Hope that helps.
The Alabama poverty rate before Republicans took over was 17.5%.
These are the cities and counties in Alabama with the highest poverty rate. ALL under DEMOCRAT leadership.
You just thought you wanted to play this game. You don't.
MSNBC contributor tries to corner Byron Donalds on measles and demands to know if he vaxxes his kids.
His answer left her looking stupid. And Bill Maher even piled on at the end.
MOLLY JONG-FAST: “You’ve had to say some stuff. Like last week on Margaret Brennan’s show, you said rampant illegal immigration was the cause for this measles outbreak and not not being vaccinated. I’m curious. Like, I have three kids. You have three kids. Do you not vaccinate your kids?”
BYRON DONALDS: “My oldest son is 23 years old. The vaccination schedule for him was less intense than the vaccination schedule for my 15-year-old son. And if you have talked to my mom, the vaccination schedule for me, being 47 years old, was not nearly as intense as it is for newborns today.
“So I think there are parents, there are mothers who have real concerns about the frequency of vaccines for young infants into just being a toddler. And so I think the order that came out the other day from the White House was, well, let’s just spread the vaccination schedule back out. Let parents have an ability to make those decisions for their children with informed consent. And then the last piece is, let’s also make sure that the human body in its infancy can actually manage the amount of vaccines that are being put into their child. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that.”
BILL MAHER: “I don’t either.”
JONG-FAST: “We have people dying of measles. We had two people in Ohio die of measles. We were almost eradicated from measles and now we have measles again, and there’s a reason for that. And the idea that you said illegal immigration causes—”
DONALDS: “Under the previous administration, more than 10 million people came into the country illegally, and I know for a fact, just like everybody else — you can read your notes too — they weren’t checking their vaccination schedules coming into the United States. That’s a fact. That’s number one.
“Number two, there was a measles outbreak in a couple of the detention facilities on the southern border. There was a measles outbreak in El Paso, Texas. There was also one in Chicago at another illegal immigration facility. Those are the facts.
“So when you let that many people come into your country, when we already know in other countries they don’t have the vaccination schedule that we have, and then when the Department of Health and Human Services is talking about American children, now you’re finding fault with vaccination schedules for American children? I don’t think that’s an accurate way to look at it.”
MAHER: “I had measles as a kid. I loved it. I was home for two weeks. I ate ice cream every day.”
CDC schedule, 1983: 11 vaccine doses.
CDC schedule, 2024: 70+ vaccine doses.
I interviewed @DougJones & @CoachForGov separately. I asked each of them about the CHOOSE Act. If you know me, you know school choice is the hill I'll die on.
Neither candidate dodged the issue. Tuberville 100% in favor, Jones 100% opposed.
I've always said, the best argument for school choice is the argument against school choice. Jones, again, proved me right.
Jones' argument against the CHOOSE Act was based on myths, misconceptions, & false claims. Zero validity. In fact, he used the same talking points Democrats used against public charter schools (ACA) which predated CHOOSE by several years.
It was a stunningly weak and shallow argument.
Tuberville stuck with the basic mantra in favor of CHOOSE. Parents should decide what's best for their kids and they should not be limited to the public school their zip code forces them into.
In short, Tuberville supported families and Jones supported the Educational Industrial Complex.
When @SenTuberville & @SenKatieBritt called Jones out on social media for his position, Jones again fell back on false myths. Jones claimed school choice was for Tuberville's "rich buddies" with kids in private schools.
That's when I interjected Restoration Academy of Fairfield into the conversation. With a near 100% minority enrollment, they have an amazing track record of success for kids. The CHOOSE Act has been life-changing for these families.
I later found out that Jones has made several visits to Restoration. But he never acknowledged that because they don't fit his narrative.
If you have to lie to make your point, you never had a point. #schoolchoice #alpolitics
@MLFootball My father-in-law was diagnosed with ALS two years ago. Gleason's foundation has provided so much support and equipment that he would never have had otherwise. We can never truly express our appreciation and admiration to Gleason.
My beef with Abdul:
He says he’s a doctor. He’s not. He’s unlicensed.
He’s for abolishing the police. He deleted the tweet, but CNN found it.
His staff denied he’s a dual citizen w Egypt. Video shows Abdul saying he’s a dual citizen and he summered in Egypt.
He refuses to condemn the Muslim Brotherhood and Iran.
He blames terrorism on America’s policies.
He calls Israel bloodthirsty. Who uses that language?
He says he hasn’t taken a penny of corporate contributions, but his FEC report shows he received $1.9 million in contributions from 629 corporate executives, including from Nvidia, Google and Pfizer.
Abdul is a conman.
I feel sorry for Haley Stevens. Abdul beat her in the Michigan D primary by attacking her supporter, AIPAC, as representative of a foreign government.
Now it turns out that Abdul is a walking, talking dual citizen of a foreign government, Egypt.
The guy is a con man.
@RapidResponse47 Maybe stop whining so much about Fox and calling people childish names. Both should be beneath you. Continue the progress you and your team have been achieving. I support that 100% also learn to say WE instead of I so much!!
remember that a terrible ideology is far more destructive than a terrible personality. Which is why the media avoids the ideological horror of talarico; and focuses on the bad personality of Paxton
Looks like Doug Jones is trying to tank the governor's race. Not that it was going well anyway.
It would be hard to find many people less popular than Stacey Abrams. What a bizarre choice. #alpolitics
